Hello from the Kindy 1 classroom!
For the month of June, our theme for Social Science was “Home”.
We learned all about the different parts of a house, the purposes for each room and what objects go in each room.
Kara and Momoko said we were going to make our own “Kindy 1 House”, where we would be able to choose between different home objects and place them into the correct rooms.
We started with the “bedroom” which we learned is the room where you sleep. In the
bedroom, you will find a bed and a wardrobe. We learned that a wardrobe is where you keep your clothes!
We had fun putting the bed and the wardrobe into the bedroom of our Kindy 1 House!
Next, we moved into the “dining room” which we learned is the room where you eat.
We chose what table and chairs we wanted to go into our Kindy 1 dining room!
We learned that the “living room” is where you keep your sofa, television, and bookcase. We had fun picking out a bookcase for our Kindy 1 House because we love education!
We learned that the “bathroom” is where you get clean. In the bathroom you will find objects such as a bathtub, toilet, and sink!
We also learned about a room where your clothes get clean. This room is called a “laundry room”. We discovered that a washing machine is where you put your dirty clothes to get clean!
Last we learned about the “kitchen”. The kitchen is where you make your food. We discovered that in the kitchen you will find a fridge and a freezer. We especially like the freezer because that’s where you keep ice cream!
Thank you for visiting the Kindy 1 House! We are happy you could join us on the tour!
