こんにちは、Preschoolです！

12月10日に開かれるIKAのクリスマスコンサートに向けて、一生懸命クリスマスに関する学習に取り組んでいます！少しその様子をのぞいてみましょう！

お！クラスでは、クリスマスに関するフラッシュカードを学習していますね！

“Reindeer〜！(トナカイさーん！)”　かわいいジェスチャー付きです♡

“Fireplace!!” (だんろ〜！)　手を擦り合わせて、寒い寒い！あ〜、あったかぁい(^ ^)

また、色のフラッシュカードがクリスマス仕様に変わり、子どもたちは新しいジェスチャーと共に色の学習を楽しんでいましたよ！

“Ah! It’s reindeer!!” (あ！トナカイさんだ〜！)

“Yes, we just learned it, good job!” (さっき学習したことを覚えていたんだね！！)

“Dark orange reindeer!” (濃いオレンジのトナカイさん！)　みんなとっても大きな声でリピートできるんですよ♪

そしてそして、Preschoolのみんなは、クリスマスコンサートについての説明も楽しく学び、準備をしています！

“If you get a present from Santa, what do you say?” (サンタさんにプレゼントをもらったらなんて言うの〜？)

“Thank you, Santa!!” (ありがとう、サンタさん〜！）

“Can you make your mommy and daddy happy?” (コンサートでパパとママを喜ばせられるかな？)

“YES!!” (うん！）

“Can you do big voice and big dance for your mommy and daddy?” (パパとママのためにおっきな声とおっきなダンスできるかな？)

“YES!!!!” (うん！！！）

Alright! Let’s do it!! (よし！じゃあ、やってみよう！)

“Please stand on the tape!!” (テープの上に並んでね〜！)

列に並ぶのはお手のもの！横並びもどんどん上手になってきました！！

とっても一生懸命、踊って、歌って頑張っているPreschool！はじめての大舞台まであと少し！思いっきり楽しんでほしいなと願うばかりです☆

Hello everyone! Are you all ready for the Christmas concert?! Kindy 2 has been hard at work and everyone is doing their best to give you a great show!

Dancing has been a fun experience, but also a difficult one. Mainly because it requires everyone to move together! It’s good teamwork practice and also a good way to watch what others are doing as well, not just yourself.

We can’t give you too many details yet, but we are sure everyone is going to love our dancing and singing!

However, it’s not just dancing and singing that we’re working on. As you all may know, there is also a Christmas play to prepare for!

This can be a daunting experience. There are many lines to remember, a lot of movements to make, and everyone has to act!

Thankfully Kindy 2 makes a great team, so we can help each other out if anyone needs help.

Everyone is super excited to show you what we’ve got! Kindy 2 has worked so hard and we hope everyone has a great time next week! Keep dancing, Kindy 2!

こんにちは、Small Kids（1歳児クラス）です！

今回は先週行ったクラフトの様子をご紹介します(^^)⭐︎

まずは先生の説明をよく聞こうね！

今回のクラフトでは、前回の親子遠足時に拾ったleaves（落ち葉）、pinecones（松ぼっくり）、acorn（どんぐり）などを使いました！

みんな遠足で行ったアクティビティのことを覚えていたかな〜？⭐︎

まずは、みんなの顔写真の周りにボンドを絞り出していきます！

“Squeeze!”（ぎゅー！）

続いて、たくさん拾ったleavesを顔周りに貼っていき、みんなの髪の毛に見立てていきます♪

“Stick, stick!”（ペタペタ！）

みんなとても真剣に取り組んでいました！

手がべたべたになりながらも頑張ったね(^^)

“Sticky~”（ベタベタするよ〜）

落ち葉を貼り終わったら、pineconeやacornなども貼って周りを飾り付けしていきます！

“It’s a stick!”（木の棒だよ！）

とっても上手にできたね⭐︎

“Yay!”

みんなのクラフトを教室に飾ると、みんなとても嬉しそうに見ていたり、お友達の名前を呼んだりしていましたよ♡

“I found it!”（見つけた！）

遠足で自分たちで拾ったものを実際にクラフトで使えて、とても嬉しかったね(^^)♪

クラフトを通して秋も感じられたかな？⭐︎

Hello from the Kindy 1 class!

This month we had the opportunity to learn about a special holiday that is celebrated in America. It’s called Thanksgiving and it’s celebrated on every fourth Thursday in November.

To introduce the topic, Kara read us a book called “Corduroy’s Thanksgiving.”

We enjoyed the story and we were eager to learn more about the holiday!

After the story, Kara showed us a short video about the very first Thanksgiving.

We learned that the Pilgrims sailed to America to start a new life. Things were rough in the beginning. Winter was harsh and there was little food. The pilgrims weren’t sure if they would survive.

The Native Americans who had lived in America for many years, helped the Pilgrims learn to grow food and survive off the land.

By fall there was a bountiful harvest and there was plenty to eat. The Pilgrims and the Native Americans had a big dinner to celebrate. The Pilgrims were thankful they had settled in a new place and started a new life.

To this day, on every Thanksgiving we take time to reflect on everything we are thankful for. We gather with friends and family and eat a big dinner with lots of turkey, mashed potatoes and pie.

After we learned all about Thanksgiving, Kara told us we were going to make our own turkey crafts!

We started by coloring two circles, which were the turkey’s head and body.

We’re getting better at staying in the lines!

After we colored our turkey parts, we were ready to cut them out.

Kara showed us how to safely use the scissors. We made sure to be very careful.

“Nice job cutting, everyone!”

Once we were done cutting, we glued our parts together.

We thought it looked like a snowman!

Next, it was time to cut out the colorful turkey feathers.

After all our feathers were cut out it was time to glue them on our turkeys.

Then it was time to add some googly eyes!

Gobble gobble! Your turkeys look so cute!

Lastly, we all took a moment to reflect on some of the things we are thankful for. We are so very grateful for our families and for yummy food to eat.

We wrote “Food” and “Family” on our turkey feathers.

Even though Thanksgiving is an American holiday, having a thankful heart is universal.

Great job, Kindy 1! We hope you had fun learning more about a different culture. Momoko and I are very thankful for you all!

こんにちは、Kindy 3 (年長クラス)です♪

今回はKindy 2と行っているmixed playtime (ミックスプレイタイム)の様子をお届けします。

コロナ禍という事もあり、以前よりも他のクラスとの関わりが減ってしまった今、ミックスプレイタイムはKindy 3以外の子供たちとも遊べる唯一の貴重な時間。

とても楽しみにしている子供達が多いです♪

ミックスプレイタイムのある日はランチ後にみんなから質問を受けます！

“Are we going to have mixed play time?” (今日はミックスプレイタイムあるの？)

“We are going to have playtime with Kindy 2, right?”(今日はKindy 2のお友達と遊ぶ日だよね?)

教室を行き来しておもちゃなどで遊ぶ事もありますが、みんながとても楽しみにしているのはドッジボールです。

日々成長している子供達。ボールを投げることも上手になって来ました。また、飛んできたボールを避けることもお手の物です！

ジムにはKindy 3とKindy 2のお友達を応援する大きな声が響いています。

ドッジボールに終わりが近づくと、なんと先生たちも助っ人としてゲームに参加。

Andrew先生やWill先生が相手のチームに入るとみんな大はしゃぎ。当たらないように遠いところへ逃げる子も入れば、ボールを持って当てようと果敢に挑む子供たちも。

みんながんばれー！！！

体をいっぱい動かして、他のクラスのお友達とも仲良く遊んぶ子供たち。

少しずつ他のクラスと関われる時間を増やせていけるといいな〜と思っています♪

Hello everyone, Preschool Class here!

We have always been confident in our shapes, but since we have been especially good at naming them during playtime, our teachers decided to do more activities with them for us! 

“Toni, look! It’s triangle!”

Along with shapes, we’re also really good at directions, such as ‘up’, ‘down’, ‘left’, and ‘right’.

“Preschool, what shape is to the right?”

Sometimes Toni even switches our questions. 

“Preschool, is the heart to the left or to the right?”

We are really good at this game! Sometimes we can’t wait for our turns, so we end up calling out the answer together. 

So, now we’re practicing ‘forward’ and ‘backward’! Especially with our Seven Steps Song, we love to try our best to stay together! Toni used to say ‘up’ or ‘back’, but now we have our new words to use instead.

“Preschool, go forward! One, two, three…!”

“Backwards, one, two, three…!”

“Are you keeping up?”

“Toni, uh-oh!”

“Oh my! Hurry hurry hurry! We can’t stop the music now!”

A newer game we have tried was done outside! Most of us are getting so fast to change our shoes. For this game, Toni grouped our shapes together and told us we could either touch the hula hoops or point to our shapes.

“No pushing our friends!”

“That’s right, please don’t push your friends! You can say ‘over there’ if you can’t reach, alright?”

Then we listened for a shape. 

“Please touch, Star! Three, two, one, go!”

“All together preschool, what shape is it?”

“It’s Circle!”

We love sharing the shapes we know, and we are always excited to try new games.

Good job, Preschool! Toni and Nanami are so proud of your enthusiasm, and we hope you can share your shapes and directions at home too. Let’s keep doing our best and keep having fun together! 

みなさんこんにちは‪☺︎‬

先週行われたPreschoolとKindy 1向けのイベントに続き、今回はKindy 2とKindy 3のお友だちを対象にしたSDGsイベント第4弾の様子をお届けします！

今回のテーマは6個目のゴールである、“Clean water and sanitation” (安全な水とトイレを世界中に)。スローガンは“Everyone can use clean water!” (みんながきれいな水を使えるように！！)と覚えました。

ストーリータイムでは、草もお花も動物もみんな、生活のために水を使っていると学びました。

“Wow! Everyone needs water!!” (すごい！みーんなお水が必要なんだ！)

みんな水が必要だと分かったけど、本当にみんなきれいな水を使えているのかな？濁った川の水を汲み、歩いて家まで運び、お湯で消毒して、やっときれいな水を使えるようになる人たちの様子を動画で見ました。

動画で見た人の大変さを体験するために、2つアクティビティをしました♪まずはwater filtering experiment(ろ過実験)です‪☺︎‬まずは先生のお手本。

“Why is the water clean?!” (どうしてお水がきれいになってるの？！)

“It’s a magic!” (魔法だ！)

目をキラキラさせて水を観察しています。

次はみんなの番！協力して泥水をきれいな水に変身させよう♪

自分たちでやってみても不思議が止まらない様子。

“I can’t see any holes here…” (フィルターの穴は見えないけど…)

2つめは、水運び体験です。2人でバケツに入った水を運んでみよう！

“It’s heavy!!” (重いよ！！)

“Can you imagine if you need to carry this water from your home to IKA every single day?” (もし毎日、自分のお家からIKAまでこの水を運ばないといけなかったらどうする？)

“I don’t want to do that!” (したくない！)

でも世界にはそういう生活をしている人もいるんだよね。大変さが分かったね‪☺︎‬

そしてごみのポイ捨てが、海の生き物にとってよくないということも学びました。
“What is floating in the ocean?” (海に浮かんでるのは何かな？)

“Plastics!” (プラスチック！)

ウミガメがプラスチックの袋を食べようとしているのを見て、びっくりしている子も。

“Oh no!!”

なるべくプラスチックを使わないこと、ごみのポイ捨てをしないこと、そしてごみを見つけたらごみ箱へ捨てることが、海の生き物たちにとっても大切だと分かりました。

盛りだくさんな1日だったね♡

Thank you for coming everyone! We noticed that we didn’t know much about water, even though we use it everyday. But now, we learned how hard to get clean water, and how thankful we should be of using clean water. Keep on saving water, and we’re looking forward to seeing you at the next event!!

こんにちは、Kindy 2です！
今日はJapanese Lessonを紹介します。

Japasese Lessonではひらがなの練習に加え、手遊びや、紙芝居、ゲームなどを行いながら楽しく日本語を学びます！
この日は、新聞紙を使ったゲームと爆弾ゲームを行いました！

まずは、新聞紙のゲームから♪

ルールは簡単！
まずは、ペアになって新聞紙の上に乗ります！
じゃんけんで負けたペアは新聞紙を半分に折り、新聞紙から落ちてしまったらアウト！最後まで残ったペアが勝ちです♪

「ぼくたちまだまだ落ちないよー！先生写真撮ってー！」
と最初は余裕の表情を見せていた子も、
「落ちそうだよ！つかまって！！」とだんだんと真剣な表情を浮かべていました！

爆弾ゲームでは音楽が止まる前に素早くお友達に渡せるよう急いでパスします！

「早く早くー！」と待ちきれない子や、先生の動作を見ていつ音楽が止まるかを真剣に見極めている子も♪

罰ゲームは変顔です（笑）
ぐるっと回りみんなにみんなにお披露目します！

Hello, we are Small Kids!

We started our new theme this month. We are learning all about food! Learning the new gestures has been so much fun, food is our favorite.

“Donut.” 

We tried out our best poses for this one!

“Cheese!”

“Cake” “Happy birthday to you.”

We are really enjoying the new games we are playing. We always make sure to pay attention to the new instructions.

“Feed the hungry cat!”

“Bread. Cutting, cutting, cutting.”

“What food is this?” “Rice.”

We really like the dance moves from the Ravioli song! 

“Ravioli, I like ravioli. Ravioli, it’s the food for me!”

“Do you have it on your nose?”

Since we are learning about food during lesson we can try and say the food we are eating at lunch!

“Rice!” “Yummy.”

“It’s chicken!”

Laken and Mika are so happy that you are having such a great time learning about food!

こんにちは、Kindy 1（年少クラス）です！

今月は、Science (理科の授業)でfive senses (五感)について学習をしています。

今日はどんなことをしたのかな？

五感のtouch (さわる), taste (あじわう), hear (きく),  see (みる), smell (におう） に関わるレッスンをしました！

touch（さわる）で得られる感触には様々なものがありますよね。

smooth (つるつる), rough (ざらざら), hard (かたい), soft (やわらかい) etc…

フラッシュカードを確認した後は、ワークシートを使ったアクティビティをしていきます！

まずは、手形を好きな色で塗ります！

最近、色塗りがとっても上達していてびっくりです！

枠からはみ出ないように丁寧に塗れたね(^^)

シートの準備が整ったので、ここからはいろいろなアイテムを触ってどんな感覚がするか分類してみよう！

“Who thinks this ponpon is hard?”　(このポンポンがかたいと思う人ー？）

“Who thinks this ponpon is soft?”　(このポンポンがやわらかいと思う人ー？）

“I do!!”（はーい！）

正解は、Soft（やわらかい）です！

“Let’s glue it on the paper!”（ボンドで貼っていこう！）

“How does the sand paper feel?”(紙やすりはどうかなー？)

“It feels rough!”（ざらざらしてる!）

目玉のスティッカーの表面は、smooth（つるつる、なめらか）だね！

What do you think about the pasta?（ゆでる前のパスタはどうかなー？）

It’s hard!!（かたーい！）

触覚にもいろいろな種類があって面白いね！

目を閉じて触ってみるのもいいかも！

11月も残すところあと少し！クリスマスコンサートの練習が中盤に差し掛かり、一生懸命ダンスや歌を練習しています！今年は、はじめての劇にも挑戦します！ダンスが得意なみんなは、ものの5分、10分でほとんどの振りを覚えてしまい驚きです！最近は、一曲終わるごとにみんなでhigh fiveをするのがブームで、練習からとても盛り上がっています（笑）

この調子で本番も楽しもうね!(^^)!

Hello Kindy 3!

It’s time to get our workouts in again and Mr. Tanaka has been training us super hard. We are all so tired after and ready for our naps.

We have been practicing a ton with jump ropes recently and having a lot of fun doing it. He makes it look so easy but it is harder than we expected. With practice we can get even better than we are now.

We even had a competition to see who could jump the longest without making a mistake. Everyone lasted a long time but in the end there was only one left. Next time we will try even harder to win for ourselves.

He also showed us that jump roping is not all about fun and play. We need to take care of the rope so that we can use it again next time and now we know how to put them away nicely.

With sports day getting closer each day we spend some time practicing for a relay race. We all worked great together and cheered for each other as loud as possible. It was a super fast race and we were really close at the end.

It has been tons of fun and we can’t wait to see what is coming next as we get better at even more activities.

SDGsに取り組むIKAの特別イベント第4弾の様子をお届けします。今回はPreschoolとKindy 1の様子をのぞいてみましょう☆

先にレッスンが終わったPreschoolのみんな。Kindy 1のお友だちを待っている間も楽しそう♪

“SDGs! SDGs!”

今回のテーマは“Clean water and sanitation” (安全な水とトイレを世界中に)。スローガンは“Clean water and sanitation means everyone can use clean water!!” (みんながきれいな水を使えるように！！)と覚えました。

Laken先生のお話や絵本を通して、飲んだり、洗ったり、遊んだりといろんな方法で私たちは水を使っていますが、世界ではきれいな水が使えない人たちもいるということを学びました。

水をきれいに保つにはごみのリサイクルやポイ捨てをしないことが大切ですね。って学んでたら…

あー！Laken先生とAzusa先生が汚した川が目の前に！！

大変！！たくさんごみを拾って川をきれいにしよう☆

次は水がどうやってきれいになるか実際に見てみます。まずは泥水の入ったペットボトルを見せると…

“What color is the water?” (お水の色は何色かな？)

“It’s brown!” (茶色！)

“Yucky yucky!!” (汚い！！)

それをコーヒーフィルターを使ってfiltering(ろ過)します。

“Look! We can see clean water!” (見て！お水がきれいになっていくよ〜！)

魔法みたいでみんなも興味津々☆ Let’s look closer!

汚れた水をきれいにすると、その分みんなで使えるきれいな水も増えるね♡

とても勉強になる1日だったね‪♡

こんにちは、Preschoolです！

今日は、みんな待ちに待った東山どうぶつえんへの親子遠足の様子をご紹介します！

ワクワクしたお顔でかけ寄ってきてくれた子や、がんばってお母さんやお父さんの元からみんなのところに来てくれた子もいましたが、動物園遠足をまだかまだかと楽しみにしていたことは、みんないっしょだったね(^ ^)☆

“Hold your friend’s hand!” (お友達とてをつないでね〜！)

とっても上手にお友達と手を繋いで歩くことができました！どんなどうぶつさんに会えるかな？スタンプラリーカードを持ってさっそく、Let’s go!!!

最初にわたしたちをむかえてくれたどうぶつは、大きなサイでした！

“Look, how big the rhino is!!!” (見て！とっても大きいね！！)

“Soooo big!!!!” (うん！すーっごくおっきい！)

大きなゾウさんも見た後は、最初のスタンプラリーのシールをもらいました！

“Toni, I want pink!!” (Toni先生、ピンクがいいな！)

どんなどうぶつさんを見ても自分たちより大きかったね！色々などうぶつをとても興味深そうに見つめていました☆

どんどん色々などうぶつさんに出会い、みんなスタンプラリーを楽しんでくれてよかったです！スタンプラリーカードを見て、

“We did flamingo, we go giraffe?” (フラミンゴみたから、次はきりんさんに行くの？)

と聞いてくれた子もいました！

“Look, Nanami! Koala is sleeping!!” (Nanami先生、あのコアラさん寝てるよ〜！)

“Over there! Over there!” (あっち！あっちにもいるよ！)

たくさんのかわいいコアラをみて、おおはしゃぎ(^ ^)♫

動物園におともだちがやってきていたので、みんなで観察しました！Preschoolのみんなも、やってきたカマキリも、お互いに警戒していました (笑)

“Preschool look, it’s a praying mantis!” (みんなみて！カマキリがいるよ〜)

プレイタイムには、“What Time is it, Mr. Wolf”というゲームをしました！疲れちゃった子もいたけれど、みんなで「◯歩進む」「止まる」という動きやセリフなどルールを理解し、楽しく遊べました！

“Attention!!!!” (ピタっ！！！)

最後には、スタンプラリーのご褒美をもらって、ニッコニコ♡たのしく遠足を終えることができました☆

みんなと楽しい秋の思い出がまたひとつできて、先生たちはとっても嬉しかったよ(^ ^)♡お母さんやお父さんにも、より成長した姿をみてもらえたね〜！！

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great autumn vacation. Today’s blog is actually about something that happened a little while ago, but we felt it was too fun not to write a blog about!

Before the break, Kindy 2 was able to hit their first piñata! This time of year gave us a good excuse to make a character, put some treats inside and have some fun. It was also an excellent chance to get a small taste of a different culture.

The point is to hit the piñata and break it in order to get the treats that are inside!

Once the piñata is broken, its a free-for-all!

But it’s not so easy! The challenge is that a teacher is holding a string. When you go to swing, the piñata will move!

Even though it wasn’t easy, Kindy 2 was able to land some pretty good blows!

What’s also impressive is that despite the free-for-all nature of the activity, everyone was very mindful of their friends and helped each ether get treats. It was a great display of compassion!

Hitting piñatas sure is fun! Let’s try it again next time! Good swingin’, Kindy 2!

こんにちは、Baby Class (0歳児クラス)です！

英語に親しみをもち、赤ちゃんの世界をひろげる第一歩のクラスとして、ママとベビーの親子レッスンを行っています。今回の投稿では、そんなかわいいベビーちゃんたちのHalloween Party の様子をお伝えします♡　普段は２クラスで活動しているみんな、今日は特別に全員しゅうごう〜(^^)

これまでのレッスンで歌ってきたHalloween songを歌ったら、ゲームスタート！まずはカラーティッシュを破って、ハロウィーンモチーフを探すゲーム。

“You got… a sparkling spider!” (キラキラのクモをゲット！)

続いてmatching × fishing！普段のレッスンでもbabyたちが大好きなつりゲームです。

引いたカードと同じ絵をつっちゃうぞ☆

するとここで大きなhaunted house (おばけやしき)が登場！どうやら扉の向こうにBrittany先生がかくれているみたい…

“Knock, knock, knock!” (コンコンコン)

“That was a black cat! Where is Brittany?” (黒ねこさんだ〜！ブリタニー先生はどーこだ？)

先生み〜つけた(^○^) Trick or Treat!

最後はクラフト！ 色をぬったりシールをぺたぺた♪ かぼちゃの葉っぱには、事前に取った子どもたちの手形を使いました。(はじめての手形、みんな上手に取れました！)

みんな、人生はじめてのHalloween Partyはどうだったかな？？たくさんのお友だちと一緒ににぎやかなパーティを開催できて、先生たちはとっても楽しかったよ♡

みなさん、こんにちは！Halloweenも終わってほっとひと息…と思いきや今はChristmas Concert (お遊戯会)に向けて一生懸命練習中☆そんななか、先週末は11月にお誕生日を迎えるお友だちをお祝いしに、主役たちのいるKindy 2(年中クラス)とKindy 3(年長クラス)にお邪魔しました！

まずはKindy 3から。

クラスのみんなからたくさんの質問をもらっていました☆

“On your birthday, what shirt do you want to wear?” (お誕生日にはどんな服を着たい？)

“I want to wear a pink dress!” (ピンクのワンピースを着たいな！)

“What cake did you get on birthday?” (お誕生日にはどんなケーキを食べたの？)

“I got a chocolate cake♡” (チョコレートケーキを食べたよ♡)

“On your birthday, who do you want to dance with?” (お誕生日には誰と踊りたい？)

“I want to dance with my mom!” (ママと踊りたい！)

質問タイムが終わったらゲームタイム！教室全体を使ったイス取りゲームをしました♪

なんとオレンジのイスには2人座れちゃう特別ルール！お友だちとイスをシェア♡

応援にも力が入ります…！

最後の1人になるまで白熱したゲームを楽しんだKindy 3でした☆

さてさてどんな質問がもらえるかな〜？

“What present do you want?” (どんなプレゼントがほしい？)
“I want princess’s puzzles!” (プリンセスのパズルがいいな！)
“I want Thomas!” (トーマスがほしい！)

“What cake do you want?” (どんなケーキが食べたい？)
“I want a strawberry cake with Little Twin Stars☆” (キキララのいちごケーキが食べたいな☆)
“I want a chocolate cake!” (チョコレートケーキが食べたーい！)

ゲームタイムでは新しいゲーム、Red Roverに挑戦！
2チームに分かれてしっかり手をつなぎます。
チームで話し合いをして相手チームからお友だちを1人選びます。

“Red rover, red rover, send ○○ on over.” (レッドローバー、レッドローバー、○○を連れてきて。)
そして選ばれたお友だちは相手チームの壁を突破しようとします！
突破できたら1人自分のチームに連れて帰れますが、突破できなかったら相手チームの仲間になります。

“Red rover, red rover, send Lily on over!!” (レッドローバー、レッドローバー、Lily先生を連れてきて！！)
なんとLily先生をご指名！このあとLily先生GET！

“Red rover, red rover, send Andrew on over!!” (レッドローバー、レッドローバー、Andrew先生を連れてきて！！)
今度はAndrew先生をご指名！でも…やっぱりまだまだかないません笑 Good try!

あらためて11月生まれのみんな、お誕生日おめでとう♡お誕生日にバースデーソングを歌ってもらったり、ゲームしたり、楽しいことでいっぱいの1日だったね♪これからの1年も幸せに過ごせますように☆

こんにちは、Small Kids（1歳児クラス）です！　　

今回は、先週行った親子遠足の様子をご紹介します⭐︎

今回遠足を行った場所は、Tsuruma park（鶴舞公園）！たくさん自然と触れ合いながら、様々なアクティビティを行いました(^^)

まずみんなで向かった場所はrose garden（バラ園）♪

バラはバラでもred（赤）、pink（ピンク）、orange（オレンジ）など様々な色があって綺麗だったね♡

続いて向かったのは、たくさんの植物などがあるgreen house（緑化センター）！

中に入ると小池のようなものがあり、池ではkoi fish（鯉）が泳いでいました！みんな鯉を見つけるととっても釘付けでした♡（笑）

その次に行ったのが、scavenger hunt（スカベンジャーハント）⭐︎

スカベンジャーハントとは宝探しのように、指定されたものを見つけるゲームです！

今回はleaves（葉っぱ）、acorns（どんぐり）、pine cones（松ぼっくり）、sticks（木の枝）をみんなで探しました♪

“I found it!”（見つけたよ！）

みんなで何をゲットできたか並べてみました！

たくさん見つけられることができたね⭐︎

今月クラスで行うクラフトでは、今回のスカベンジャーハントで見つけたものを使って工作もしていきますよ⭐︎

その次は、tree drawing（木の幹でお絵描き）！

木の幹に紙を当てて思い思いにお絵描きをしていきました(^^)

お絵描きをしていくと不思議なことに、木の幹の模様が浮かび上がりました⭐︎

普段とは違う描き心地を味わいながら、自然の中ならではのお絵描きを楽しめたね♪

お絵描きの途中では、きちんとクレヨンをお友達に貸してあげることもできていましたよ(^^)

“Here you are!”（はいどうぞ！）

たくさんアクティビティをしたあとは、みんな大好きなplay time（遊びの時間）⭐︎

公園ならではの大きな遊具がたくさんあり、みんな思う存分楽しんでいました♡

たくさん遊んだあとは、みんなお待ちかねのlunch time（お昼ご飯の時間）！

みんなでピクニック形式でお昼ご飯を食べました(^^)

“Say, cheese!”（はいチーズ！）

“Cheese!”（チーズ！）

お天気もよく、お外でみんなと食べるご飯はとてもおいしかったね⭐︎

みんなと遠足で素敵な思い出を作ることができて、先生たちはとても嬉しかったです(^^)♡

たくさん自然ならではのアクティビティもできたね！これからもみんなで色々なことを経験していこうね⭐︎

Hello from the Kindy 1 class!

Recently in Language Arts we learned about different types of clothes that are worn every day. We learned the names of the clothes and which clothes we wear in different seasons and weather conditions.

To help us learn the vocabulary, Kara had us play some flashcard games.

This game was called “Clothes Line Race.”

All the clothes were hanging out to dry!

We paired up two by two and then Kara yelled out “find the _____!”

We then had to race to grab the correct flashcard off of the clothes line.

“You found mittens! Great job!”

Once we felt more confident with the vocabulary, we were ready to play another game.

This game was called “Get Dressed!”

This was another racing game. This time, Kara would say “Find and put on the _____. Ready, set, go!”

We then had to race to a pile of clothes, find the item that Kara said and then put it on. The first person to do it won!

“Find and put on the scarf! Ready, set, go!”

“You found it. Great job!”

“Would you wear a scarf during the summer or the winter?”

“You would wear it during the winter!”

“I am wearing a beanie.”

“You would wear a beanie when it’s cold outside!”

A lot of the clothes were big on us. We thought it was very funny!

“I found the coat!”

“I am wearing boots!”

The t-shirt we found said “Whitefish, Montana” on the front.

We learned that is Kara’s hometown!

“I am wearing a tank top.”

“You would wear a tank top in the summertime or when it’s hot outside!”

Looking good, Kindy 1! Great job learning all the different types of clothes. we hope you had fun playing the racing games. Keep up the great work!

こんにちは、Kindy 3(年長クラス)です！

今回は、Show and Tellの様子をお届けします。

先月のテーマは”Halloween Memory”(ハロウィンメモリー)でした！

思い出の写真や、グッズなどのアイテムを持って来てくれた子供達。

みんな一生懸命に発表に取り組んでいました。

自分の番の日には、クラスに置いてあるShow and Tell ボックスから取り出して、持ってきます。周りに座っているお友達に、持ってきたものが見えるように準備も完璧！

大きな声で、発表が始まります！

“This is my Show and Tell !”

“My halloween memory is this!”  (これが僕のハロウィンの思い出です！)

“My costume was Kitaro when I was in Kindy 1!” ( Kindy 1の時には、鬼太郎になりました！)

教えてくれることはさまざまです。お気に入りのコスチュームや、楽しかった思い出。

沢山の楽しい思い出をみんなに紹介してくれます♪

お友達の発表に子供達も静かに聞き入っています。

どんな思い出なのかな？どうしてこのコスチュームが好きなのかな？

みんな興味津々です。

お友達の発表が終わると、いよいよ質問タイムのスタート！

“Do you have any questions?” (質問ある人、手をあげて！)

元気よく手を上げる子供達♪

一度誰かが質問を聞くと、他の子供たちも続いて質問をし始めます。

４月の時よりも質問タイムでは沢山の手が挙がり、みんなたくさん質問できるようになりました。

“Why did you like that costume the best?” (どうしてそのコスチュームが1番好きなの？)

-“I liked it the best because my dad bought it for me!” (お父さんが買ってくれてからこれがお気に入りだよ♪)

“What did you do at the Halloween party?”(ハロウィンパーティでは何をしたの？)

-“I made some crafts with my friends!” (お友達と一緒にクラフトを作ったよ♪)

去年よりも長くて難しい質問ができる子供達。その質問にもしっかりと答えます。さすがKindy 3です!!

今月のShow and Tellもとても楽しみです♪

Hello everyone, Preschool Class here!

We love our animals, and with our big field trip coming up, Toni and Nanami have been playing new games with us! One of the first games we learned was called “Sleeping Animals”. Toni began by asking us what all of our animals did. After we showed her we knew our animals, she had us pretend to go to sleep.

“Preschool, when you wake up, let’s be… Cows! 3, 2, 1…”

…

“Are you asleep??”

We needed Toni to show us what to do, but we understood quickly!

“Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!” 

We loved running around trying to sound and look like animals. Toni pointed to our flashcards if we started to become Preschoolers again, but we were really good at playing as animals.

“What sound does a chicken make?”

“Are you a chicken!?”

“Preschool, goodnight!”

When we first started playing this game, Toni used our flashcards as a review and chose the next animal to wake up as. Now we can choose the next animals if enough of us agree! 

Another game we learned is a counting game called What Time is it Mr. Wolf? We are still practicing to step as we count, and now that we understand how to play we get really really excited so we aren’t really good at stopping. After days of playing, we are so loud when beginning.

“What Time is It, Mr. Wolf?”

This week, we’ve even started to take turns as the Wolf!

“It’s 2 o’clock!”

We still need a little louder of a voice, but we have so much fun counting steps together. Especially when we can say when our friends are close enough, “It’s LUNCH TIME!”

Whoever the wolf catches ends up as the next wolf! We have the most fun running, so we aren’t very fast at that, ha ha!

To help us get excited for our games, we are also practicing to race!

Good job, Preschool! Toni and Nanami love letting you play these fast and exciting games outside, and we hope you are all ready to see more animals when we go on our field trip! Let’s continue to do our best and have fun together!
