先週土曜日は、English Time (アフター幼稚園児クラス)、Elementary (卒園児クラス)、Big Kids English Time (アフター小中学生)によるクリスマスパーティが行われました(^^)

まずはEnglish Timeのパーティ。先生たちによるクリスマスシアターからスタート☆ みんなのところに愉快なサンタさんがやってきてくれましたよ！

子どもたちも参加型のこのシアター。オーナメントを飾ったり、サンタさんのreindeer (トナカイ)を数えたり、お話の世界に入り込んじゃったね！

そしてパーティのお楽しみといえばビンゴ大会！レッスンで学習してきたChristmas wordsを聞き取って、ビンゴを目指そう(^^)

クラフトタイムでは、お家の人といっしょにかわいいオーナメントを制作♡ ぜひ飾ってね！

最後はゲームめぐり！8つのコーナーをまわって、ゲームに挑戦したり、フォトブースで記念写真をパシャリ♪  お家の人といっしょに参加した、思い出に残るパーティになったといいな！

続いてはElementaryクラス。仲良しなみんなは、雪だるま(Will先生 & Andrew先生)が背負うバスケットをめがけて、雪玉入れ！

逃げ回る雪だるまを、大爆笑しながら追いかけ回す子どもたち（笑）

クラフトタイムは手作りストッキングづくり☆

縫ったりデコレーションしたり、小学生のみんなが好きな作業がつまった制作でした♡ 24日の夜には、ぜひ枕元において寝てね！

最後はscrabbleというクロスワードのようなゲームで遊びました。お友だちと協力してポイントを獲得(^o^) ほしい景品をゲットするため、みんな一生懸命でした〜！

最後に来てくれたのはBig Kids English Timeのみんな。こちらのグループは、風船雪合戦でパーティスタート♪

“Ready, set, GO!”の合図で始まり、夢中で風船を投げます。風船が割れてもひるむことなく、大興奮の子どもたちでした！

そしてビンゴ大会。小学生のみんなには、お題のChristmas Wordsを、絵のヒントなしで読んでもらったりもしました(^^)

最後はクラフト♡ お友だちと一緒に色を選んだりデザインを考えたり、楽しかったね！

パーティに参加してくれたみんな、ありがとう(*^^*)

今週末のクリスマス当日に向けて、気分は高まってきたかな？？みんながあたたかい気持ちで、クリスマスと年越しを迎えられますように♡

Hello everyone! Preschool Class here!

We love craft time, and we were so excited to have a new craft before our last day of the year! We got to guess the color of our pipe cleaners.

“What color is this, Preschool?”

“Yellow!”

“Light yellow!”

“Preschool, no, it’s gold lol!” We are so silly! 

Toni was silly too! 

“Preschool, after you put your gold pipe cleaner into the hole, please put your hands on your head and say, ‘I’m finished’ so Nanami and I know, okay?”

“I did it!”

“Okay, I’m coming!”

Then we got to paint! We were so excited! First, we used green and then we got to choose our second color!

“I want pink!”

“I want red!”

“Okay, here you are! Please tap your orange ornament with your paintbrush, okay?”

We were so creative!

After we were finished using two colors of paint, Toni told us to fold our ornaments. 

“Help please!”

It was a little hard to open it back up. We all got our fingers so colorful!

“What color glitter do you want?”

Glitter was really hard to sprinkle with a spoon. Some of us shook our spoon to our paint, and some of us tapped it.

We also got to pick up our shiny decorations! If our fingers were clean before, we definitely got paint on us after this. 

Please hang up our ornaments on our Christmas Tree!

Good job, Preschool! Toni and Nanami are so proud of all the hard work you’ve done this year! Now we have our winter break, so please rest up and take care until you come back.

こんにちは！Kindy 2(年中クラス)です！

Kindy 2ではクリスマスの製作として、ミトンのオーナメントを作りました♪
今日はその様子をお見せします✨

まずはハサミで土台となるミトンを切っていきます♪
線に添ってチョキチョキ！みんな真剣な表情！一生懸命切っております😊

ハサミの持ち方を確認しながら取り組みました！
みんなハサミの使い方がとっても上手になったね😊

紙を丸めてSnowman(雪だるま)を作っていきます！
ボタンの位置や、目や鼻を書くのに苦戦している子もいましたが、完成した状態を想像しながら器用に描いていきます♪

最後にキラキラのスパンコールを貼って、かんせーい✨

ひとりひとりSnowmanの顔が違ってとっても可愛いオーナメントが完成しました⭐️
お家のツリーに飾る！と嬉しそうに話してくれる子も！

一生懸命に作ったオーナメント、是非お家で飾ってね✨
子どもたちはクリスマスが待ちきれない！といった様子で、毎日ワクワクしながら過ごしています！
「サンタさんに〇〇をもらうんだ〜！」とお友達同士で会話している姿も♪

すっかり寒くなり、あっという間に今年も残り２日となりました！
Kindy 2のみんなはどんな冬休みを過ごすのかな〜？♡

Hello, we are Small Kids!

Mika and Laken planned a super fun craft for us this month! We learned all about Christmas and got to make our very own snow globes!

“When you shake it, all the snow will fly around.” 

We each got 4 snowflakes to add to our snow globe. We tried our best to stick them in the sky!  

“On the blue!”

It was a little difficult so Laken and Mika helped us out.

“Here you are.”

We could pick 1 Santa, 1 reindeer or 1 snowman sticker for our snow globe. It was so hard to choose!

“Which sticker would you like?”

“This one!”

“Who is that?”

“It`s 〇〇!”

Mika helped us measure how much snow we got to use. It was so exciting to watch!

“Wow.”

We even got to try and pour the snow in our snow globe with a little help from Laken.

“Pour, pour, pour.”

We just had to touch the snow! It was very soft.   

Once Laken put some glue onto our snow globe, we could add the lid!

“Push, push.”

We made sure to try our best!

Of course we had to show-off our Christmas ornaments! It was really hard to sit still and take the pictures because shaking our snow globes was just so fun!

みなさんこんにちは！

Christmas Concert(お遊戯会)が大成功をおさめ、先週末はこどもたちお待ちかねの Birthday Partyをひらきました☆

というわけで、さっそくKindy 1(年少クラス)からのぞいて行きましょう！！

まずは、恒例のクエスチョンターイム！

“What cake do you like?” (どんなケーキが好きなの？)

“I like an Anya cake!” (アーニャのケーキが好きだよ！)

“What present do you want?” (どんなプレゼントがほしい？)

“I want an Elsa dress♡” (エルサのドレスがほしいな♡)

みんなたくさん手をあげていて、すごいね♪

とっても仲良しなKindy 1(年少クラス)！

お誕生日のふたりをみんなでハグ～♡♡　ふたりともすごく嬉しそうで、先生たちも幸せだよ(#^.^#)

続いてはみんな大好き！ゲームの時間です☆

12月は冬本番！ということで、 “Snowball carrying” (雪玉はこび)をしてあそびました！

Snowballに見立てた綿をスプーンにのせて、カベからもう一方のカベまでレースをするというゲームです(^^)/

落とさないよう慎重にあるいて、上手にバランスを保っていたね☆

でも…ポトッ！！

ついsnowballがスプーンから落ちちゃった(>_<)

やさしく見守る子もいれば、一生懸命エールを送る子もいたりと、個性豊かなKindy 1(年少クラス)でした～♡

お次はKindy 2(年中クラス)！

お誕生日の子とAndrew先生のすてきなツーショット！！

ふたりともカメラに向かって「グー」(`･ω･´)b

質問タイムでは、みんなどんなことをお誕生日の子にきいたのかな？？

“What character do you like?” (なんのキャラクターが好きなの？)

“I like Pikachu!” (ピカチュウが好きだよ！)

“What kind of cake do you want?” (どんなケーキを食べたい？)

“I want a chocolate cake!” (チョコレートケーキが食べたいなー！)

たくさんのお友だちに質問してもらえてよかったね(^_-)-☆

そしてKindy 2のゲームタイムは、フルーツバスケット~Kindy 2 version~ (年中クラスバージョン)でした☆

Kindy 2バージョンでは、Andrew先生が「動物」、「食べ物」など大きなトピックを決めて、その中から子どもたちは自分が好きなモノを言います！

“Elephant!” (ゾウ！) “Flamingo!” (フラミンゴ！)

中々ユニークなチョイスをするKindy 2のみんな、とっても面白いですね♪

そして、座っている子たちは、真ん中にいる子どもが言ったモノが、自分の好きなモノだったら、立ち上がって違うイスに移動します！

このルールは、オリジナルのフルーツバスケットと似ていますね(^^)/

みんなとっても楽しめていたね♪

最後はKindy 3(年長クラス)☆

さて、どんな質問をされるかな～？？

“What present do you want?” (どんなプレゼントがほしいの？)

“I want Nintendo Switch!!” (ニンテンドースイッチがほしいの！！)

“Which country do you want to go on your birthday?” (お誕生日にはどの国にいきたい？)

“I want to stay in Japan and celebrate my birthday with my friends♡” (日本で、お友だちといっしょに誕生日を祝いたいな♡)

さすがKindy 3（年長クラス）！

質問もこたえもとってもレベルが高いね☆

そして質問タイムがおわったら、ゲームの時間です♪

今回は、 “Duck, Duck, Goose”というゲームをあそびました！

まず、みんなは内側をむいて、鬼は“duck, duck, duck…”といいながらひとりずつ頭をタッチしていきます！

そして、鬼はだれか一人に“Goose!”といい、走ります！！

“Goose”と言われた子は、すぐに鬼を追いかけます(‘ω’)ノ

鬼は、追いつかれないように1周走り、 “Goose”と言われた子が座っていた場所に座ります！

日本の「ハンカチ落とし」とルールがとっても似ていますよね♪

（Will先生は速いから、タッチしたらこわいな～）と迷っているのかな？？（笑）

鬼にも“Goose”にも、たくさんの声援がおくられていました！

“Go! Go! ○○” (○○がんばれー！！)

“Goose”に追いつかれてしまった鬼は、みんなにcooking（調理）されてしまうのです…！なんとこれは、Will先生もKanami先生も知らなかった、こどもたち独自のルール☆

“Let’s cook him!” “Cook, cook!”

みんな楽しそうに「お料理」していました(^^（笑）

あらためて、12月生まれのみんな、お誕生日おめでとう☆

お誕生日会でクラスのみんなと楽しいことがたくさんできて、よかったね(#^.^#)

これからの1年も、みんなが毎日えがおで過ごせるといいな♡

こんにちは、Kindy 1（年少クラス）です(^O^)／

今週は、クリスマスのクラフトを行いました🎄

どんなものを作ったのかみんなで見てみよう！

まずは、木の棒を緑色で塗っていきます。

白いところが見えないように塗れたかな？

ペイントが終わると自分でスモックを片付けます。

Hug! Hug! Fold!といいながらきれいに畳んでいきます！

みんな一人でできるようになってきたね☆

お次は、はさみを使って細かいパーツを切っていきます。

紙を回しながら上手に四角を切れたね！

みんな嬉しそうに“I did it by myself!”（ひとりでできたよ！）と言っていました。

その後は、星にグリッターを付けます。

のりを塗って、、、

Which color do you want？（どっちの色がいい？）

May I have white, please？（白色ください！）

最後は、ペイントした木の棒を三角にくっつけて、ビーズを付けます。

指先を上手に使って貼れたね！

みんなのキュートな写真を入れたら完成ー！

ツリーも写り込んでいて可愛いね♡

教室のクリスマスツリーに飾ってみました♡

みんなこの時間が待ちきれなくてワクワクしていました。

持って帰ったらお家のツリーにも飾ってみてね☆

Merry Christmas!!

Hello Kindy 3!

Christmas concert is over and I know everyone had a wonderful time on the stage but it is time to get back to a more usual routine. We have been reviewing different topics from the past months and have been able to remember so much!

One of our science topics has been about the moon and shadows. We learned why the shape of the moon changes over time.

The moon itself doesn’t change size but the light on it makes only part of it visible so it looks like it gets bigger and smaller.

We talked about how shadows are formed not from light but actually from there being no light and although we understand this easily when it’s explained it makes all that much more sense to see it in practice.

For a fun activity, we decided to make shadow puppets on the wall. We tried different shapes to see what we could make and it was difficult but we had some pretty cool animals come out.

With some more practice I know we can make even more animals and anything our imagination can think of. Great work Kindy 3!

こんにちは、Preschoolです！

Preschoolみんなのがんばりのおかげで、クリスマスコンサートが大成功に終わりました！！Nanamiは、まだまだ感動の余韻に浸っています♡

今回は、たくさん遊んで少しリラックスした日の様子と、クリスマスコンサートのバックステージの様子をご紹介します☆この日はテーマ学習のアクティビティにアスレチック要素をプラスして楽しみました！

Toni先生からお題のtransportation (移動手段)の単語が伝えられ、よーーい、どん！

“Can you get ‘Taxi’?” (タクシーのカードを見つけられるかな？)

“Yeah!!” (うん！！！)

“Three, two, one….. Go!!!” (さん、にい、いち、ゴーーー！！！)

ほら！ひとりでこんなに上手にバランスも取れるよ！

“I did it!” (タッチできたよ！)　バランスゲームとお題をすんなりクリアし、この笑顔♡

“’Train’ is over here!!!” (電車のカードはこっちだよ！)　自信たっぷりです☆

みんなとっても早くでき、最後はToni先生とタッチ！！！

また、sandpit (砂遊び)も楽しみました！　前回遊んだときより、おともだち同士でおままごとをする子が多かったです！型ぬきの道具やスコップなど上手に使いこなす様子などが見られ、遊びの中にも成長を感じました☆*＊**

続いて、クリスマスコンサートのバックステージの様子です！バックステージでは、かわいらしい衣装に胸をはずませ、ニコニコ陽気なムードでした☆

ステージに立ち、不安になることもありましたが、先生からパワーをもらい、がんばる！と意気込む子も♡

“Cheese!” (はい、チーズ！)　４曲パフォーマンスした後もこの余裕です！

みんな本当にステージを楽しんでいて、感激しました！泣いてしまった子も「がんばる！がんばる！」と一生懸命であきらめずに向き合う姿にこころを打たれました（泣）

みんな本当によくがんばったね♡　はじめての大舞台とは思えないほど、みんなどうどうと練習以上のパフォーマンスをすることができ、小さい背中がとても大きく感じました (泣)♡

今年も残り少し！みんなで楽しい時間を過ごしましょう！

Hello hello, everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed the Christmas Concert! Kindy 2 put in a lot of effort and it really showed in their performance! However, the curtains have closed and now it’s time to get back to the usual routine.

For the most part it’s been a relaxing few days back. Everyone worked so hard for the concert, it only made sense to have some time to relax. However, language arts isn’t something we can put off for too long! So we had a bit of writing to do.

Unsurprisingly, Kindy 2 hasn’t missed a beat. Everyone was writing at a high level and their penmanship was on point! There were a few questions here and there about the book and everyone did a good job of nicely raising their hands.    

Everyone was super focused on finishing their work. It’s very impressive because after a big event like Christmas Concert, it can be easy to get burnt out. However, Kindy 2 really showed their grit! They certainly have a tough spirit!

This week everyone will continue working on their language arts books, but it’s also important to keep everyone relaxed. After all, Christmas is right around the corner! Keep up the excellent work, Kindy 2!

まずはレッスン！

フラッシュカードでは、新しいジェスチャーを覚えています⭐︎

“Reindeer!”（トナカイ！）

“Candle!”（ロウソク！）

“Santa Clause, Ho, Ho, Ho!”（サンタさんホッホッホッー！）

ゲームもクリスマス仕様になりました(^^)

Fireplace（暖炉）についている数字を見つけられるかな〜？

見つけたらfireplaceで手を温めようね♪

ほかにも先生に色のついたgingerbread man（ジンジャーブレッドクッキー）をあげたり、

サンタさんの袋の中身を覗いてみたりします⭐︎

“What did you get?”（何をゲットできたかな？）

“Sleigh!”（ソリ！）

時にはこんなゲームも！

あれ？なんだかみんな寝ています⭐︎みんなが寝ている間に、Laken先生が何かを置いていますよ(^^)

“Wake up, wake up!”（起きて！）

みんなが起きると、目の前にはアルファベットが書かれたプレゼントが！何のアルファベットか答えられるかな？

お歌は“We Wish You a Merry Christmas”がみんな大好きです♡

Story time（読み聞かせの時間）ではクリスマスの本にみんな興味津々♪

先週はPreschoolの教室に遊びに行き、お兄ちゃんお姉ちゃんたちと一緒にJingle Bellsの練習もしましたよ(^^)♡

今週はクリスマスパーティーもあります⭐︎

みんなで素敵なクリスマスを過ごそうね♡

Hello, we are English Time!

We always have so much fun learning English and we were so excited to learn about Thanksgiving! We learned that it is a holiday where you talk about everything that you are thankful for and you get to eat a big turkey dinner. 

We got to make a Rainbow Turkey Shooter for our craft this month! The first thing we needed to do was add the eyes.

“Peel the tape off.”

“Stick the eyes on the turkey.”

We loved that we got to color six different feathers with whatever color we wanted!

We were so focused on making sure our coloring was perfect!

Once we completed our turkeys we learned a really cool game from our teachers. We got to try and shoot a ball into a basket using the turkey we made!

“It`s fun!”

“Shoot the ball into the basket.”

After we had lots of fun playing with our turkey shooters we learned a new game called Sleeping Animals. We had to pretend to go to sleep and then when we woke up we had to be the animal showing on the flashcard. 

“Monkey!”

“Tiger. ROAR!”

This fun week was so much fun and we learned a lot about the Thanksgiving holiday. 

“Cheese…”

みなさんこんにちは！先週土曜日は、Preschool (2歳児クラス)とKindy (年少・年中・年長クラス)による、Christmas Concert が行われました。まだまだ興奮冷めやらぬ今日は、コンサートの余韻を楽しんでいきましょう(^O^)

まずはPreschoolのみんな。かわいいbumble bees (ハチ)とfireflies (ホタル)で登場！

初めての大舞台にもかかわらず、大きな声で歌っておどって、お客さんからたくさんの拍手をもらえました☆

カーテンが開くと、ワクワクしたお顔でお家の人を探し、手をふりながら、、

“Hello! Mommy! Daddy!” (ママ〜！パパ〜！)

大好きな家族に見てもらえてよかったね♡

Kindy 1のみんなはかわいいアリエルとフランダーになって登場 ♪ 速い歌詞もなんのその、しっかりと歌い上げました！

今回が初挑戦の劇でも、大きな声でどうどうとセリフを言えたね！みんなが大好きなpancake song、とってもかわいかったよ♡

Kindy 2のお友だちは、大人数でのカッコいいダンスが今回の見どころでした！24人の息の合ったダンスは圧巻☆

4、5歳児が演じる“MARVERICK”も、最高にキマッてるでしょ？

チーム一丸となって臨んだ舞台、またひとつ絆が深まったね☆

そしてKindy 3、これがIKAでのラストステージです。ハイレベルな歌とダンスを披露 ♪

演技力と個性の光るパフォーマンスで、観客席からくすっと笑いが聞こえたり、手拍子が鳴り止まないステージでした！

これまでいつもみんなのそばにいてくれた家族に、最高のステージを見せることができたね。感謝の気持ちを込めて、IKA Christmas Concert 2022、ここに閉幕です！

これまでコンサートの練習をあたたかく見守ってくださった保護者の皆様、本当にありがとうございました。

Good job, everyone! That’s curtain call for Christmas Concert!

Happy December from Kindy 1! We’re excited that it’s finally the holiday season! We’ve been working so hard practicing for the Christmas concert and we can’t wait for our final performance.

To get us in the holiday spirit, Kara had a festive afternoon planned for us! We couldn’t wait to see what was in store.

First, Kara read us a book called “Once there was a Christmas Tree”. It was a delightful book about sharing. Kara told us that the meaning of Christmas is not just about getting presents but rather a time to give to others, be thankful for all our blessings and to spend time with the people that we love.

After she read the book, Kara said that next we would get to decorate a Christmas tree! We were so excited!

First, we needed to splay the branches. We each took turns spreading them out.

Once all the branches were pulled apart it was time to put the tree together.

The tree looks nice. Good teamwork everyone!

Next, Kara added the lights. We loved how the lights gave the tree a pretty glow.

Once the lights were added it was time to add the ornaments! We took turns adorning each branch with the shimmering ornaments.

“Look Kara, it’s so tall!”

Momoko and Kara joined in on the fun too!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

The tree looks beautiful!

After we were done decorating, we learned some new words from our Christmas flashcards. One of the flashcards said “angel”. Kara told us that if you lay in the snow and move your arms and legs you can make a snow angel!

Of course, we had to practice making snow angels right away!

The next flashcard said “stocking”. We learned that you hang your stockings on the “fireplace” so Santa can fill them with candy and presents!

We had fun passing around a stocking. “What’s inside?”

There’s no candy yet though. You’ll have to wait until Christmas!

After our Christmas flashcards we practiced using phonics to sound out small words.

“What sound does R make?” “Er!” “What sound does E make?” “Eh!” “What sound does D make?” “Duh!”

“What word is this?” “Red!” “Good job!”

Once the letters were put together it made a Christmas tree! So cute!

Great job, Kindy 1! Kara and Momoko are so proud of how hard you’ve been practicing for the Christmas concert. We know you will shine bright on the stage. Thank you for the gift of your lovely smiles.  We wish you the merriest Christmas filled with lots of light and love!

こんにちは、Kindy 3 (年長クラス)です！

今回はplaytime(プレイタイム)の様子をお届けします。

毎日ランチをたくさん食べてエネルギーも満タン！

Playtimeを全力で楽しむ準備万端です！

Kindy 3の子供達はよくscrap paper (メモ用紙)をplaytimeに使っています。

折り紙のように自由自在に切ったり折ったりして、紙飛行機や動物を作り出したり。

お友達や先生にお手紙を書いたり、お友達と一緒に絵を描いたり。

紙一枚でも子供たちの手にかかれば、沢山の遊び方が編み出されます♪

遊ぶだけでなくお友達や先生ともたくさんお話をしています。

週末に行った場所や、最近できる様になったこと、何を作っているのか。

英語で一生懸命に教えてくれます♪

“Look what I made!” (僕の作ったもの見て！)

“I’m building a castle now! ” (今はお城を作ってるんだ！)

おもちゃをお友達と仲良く使うこともお手の物！

お友達と協力してジェンガを並べたり、大きなお家を建てたり。

またある時はクラスのみんなで家族ごっこ！毎日お友達と楽しそうに遊んでいます♪

“Can you share please?”  (おもちゃ借りてもいい？)

“Of course! Let’s play together!” (もちろん！一緒に遊ぼう！)

ドミノやジェンガを使ってお城を作ったり、ブロックを使ってこまを作りお友達と対決したり。

子供達の想像力に毎日驚かされています。

また、playtime中に音楽をかけるとそれに合わせて踊り出す子供たちも♪

この日はクリスマスコンサートに向けて練習しているダンスと歌を披露してくれました♪

Playtimeも全力で楽しむ子供たち。

これからもみんなで一緒に楽しい時間を過ごそうね♪

Hello everyone! Preschool Class, here!

We are all working hard to practice for our upcoming concert this weekend! But we are still playing and learning a lot too! Every day before class, Toni asks us what we want to do after practice.  

“I want to go outside!” 

“Okay, preschool! Do you want to run, play, or race outside today?”

When we run, Toni has us run run run! We love to pretend to fall, and we always get right back up to keep going. We’ve started trying to catch Toni, but she always keeps just out of reach! We’ll get her soon, we just know it!

“I want to race!”

When we race, Toni has us run to touch the green net of the sandpit before we tag her at the finish. We are so fast! 

“One more time!”  

“I want to color!”

“Okay preschool, do you want to color with crayons, markers, or color pencils?”

Ooh! We’ve just started using color pencils more often. We are really good at using a good pencil grip, did you know that? Some of us can even try spelling our names out loud! Have you started practicing with us at home?

“Toni, I want playdoh please!”

“Okay, what color playdoh do you want?”

Playdoh is so much fun! If Toni doesn’t give us a knife, we can ask for that too!

“Look Nanami, it’s snowman!”

“I made a snake!”

“Cheese cutting cutting!”

With Winter already here, many of us are coming to class wearing jackets. We are used to pushing them into our cubbies next to our jackets, but now Toni is trying to get us to practice folding them like our towels. 

“One!” We put our jackets closed, with zippers or buttons touching.

“Two!” We fold one arm over the front.

“Three!” We fold the other arm over the first.

“Four!” Then we fold the bottom over everything! If we can we fold it once more to make a square, and that’s how we fold our jackets.

“Okay preschool, if you have a jacket please go put it on! Let’s get ready!”

To go outside or to go home, we need to also put our jackets on by ourselves.

Some of us still need a little help.

And some of us are figuring out how to do it if Toni or Nanami are too slow to help. 

“Can you touch your zippers?”

Zippers and buttons are so hard! But we’re trying! Toni and Nanami say to always try!

There’s so much we are learning, even as we spend so much time practicing for our Concert this weekend! I hope you let us show you what we can do, mom and dad! 

Good job, Preschool! Toni and Nanami are so proud of your hard work! Let’s continue to have fun and do our best together!

最近のKindy 2は発表会に向けてたっくさん練習しています♪

今日はそんなKindy 2のランチタイムをご紹介します！

毎日練習を行うため、最近は教室でピクニックランチをする日が多いです♪
子どもたちはいつもと違うランチタイムに嬉しそう😊

“Look, I have strawberries for dessert!!”
(見て！今日のデザートはお気に入りのイチゴだよ！)
“That’s Andrew’s favorite!”(それアンドリュー先生のお気に入りじゃん！)

楽しみながらランチタイムを過ごしています✨

“I ate everything so I won’t get tired to practice dancing!”
(僕、今日ぜーんぶ食べたからダンスの練習でも疲れないよ！)

発表会の練習に向けてたくさん体力をつける為に嫌いな食べ物も積極的に食べるKindy 2のみんな⭐️

毎週金曜日はみんなが楽しみにしているカレーや麺類や丼ものなどが出る配食ランチの日です♪ みんな野菜や果物をもりもり食べて、寒い冬を元気に乗り越えようね ♪

発表会まで残りあと３日！
いっぱい食べてたくさんエネルギーをつけて練習を頑張ろうね⭐️

Hello, we are Small Kids!

We love getting to play with all of our toys and spend time with our teachers and friends. Most of our days we get to have a long playtime but sometimes Mika and Laken have a surprise for us!

“Here you are, Laken.”

“Tap, tap, tap, earthquake!”

Oh no! We know that we need to get under the table when Laken says “earthquake!”. 

“Go, go, go!”

Crawling under the table can be a little scary but we always try our best to do it on our own.

Once we get under the table, we make sure to count to 20 before we try and leave. 

“Ready everyone?…1,2,3…20”

Yay! We did it. We can get out from under the table!

Sometimes we even help Laken get out from under the table. 

“Pull, pull!”

You have all done so well learning the earthquake drill! Laken and Mika are so impressed with how quickly you can get under the table.

こんにちは、Kindy 1（年少クラス）です♪

12月になり本格的な寒さがやってきましたね。かぜをひかないように気をつけてね！

さて今回は、Weight(重さについての学習）でheavy（重い）とlight（軽い）について学んでいる様子をお届けします。

量りと体重計を使っていろいろなものの重さをはかっていきます。

Let’s compare them!（比べてみよう！）

ポンポンとボトルではどっちの方が軽いかな？

手で持って比べてみよう！

はりが動くのをじーっと見つめるみんな。

その後には、ワークシートを使って復習もしました！

“Which is heavier？”（どっちの方が重いかな）

“Which is heavier, a ball or a tree?”（ボールと木ではどっちの方が重いかな？）

-“Tree!”（木！）

A tree is heavier than a ball.（木はボールよりも重たいです。）

黙々と取り組むみんな。ライティングの集中力が上がり、始めの合図とともにすぐに静かに取り掛かります。

久しぶりにみんなでサッカーをしました！

前回よりも、ボールに向かって走っていく姿がたくさんみられとっても盛り上がりました！

Hello Kindy 3!

We are well underway for getting into the Christmas spirit! We have been practicing so hard and are nearly ready for the big day! It’s coming soon so we thought it was high time to share some of our practice with you.

The play is a big part of our concert and something that we are all proud of! We have been able to remember so much about the story and even have been putting our emotions into it so you can feel like you are really with us.

In Kindy 3, we will be separately preforming a boys dance as well as a girls dance and with such cool moves I’m sure you will be dancing to the songs when you get home as well.

Even though the songs are fast we have done extremely well at singing along while dancing. There might be only six girls in the class but with voices like theirs, I’m sure you will believe that there a many more singing behind stage.

Our group song is the biggest one yet and we have been trying hard to move together as one group. We have been steadily improving the more we practice which has taught us that we can do anything we set our minds to.

The time is drawing near and we are counting down the days till we can show off all of our hard work to you!
