こんにちはKindy 2(年中クラス)です！
あっという間に２月が終わり、明日から３月ですね！

３月と言ったらひな祭り✨
今日はひな祭り製作で行ったお雛様と御代理様のクラフトを紹介します♪

まずは思い思いに好きな色でぼんぼりを描きました！

ティッシュの箱をカバーして土台を作っていきます！

「ここはやまおりだよ〜！」
「やまおりってなあに？」
「おやまをつくるようにおるんだよ〜」
子ども達同士でコツを教え合いながら取組んでいました⭐️

そして、土台に菱餅をイメージしたピンク、白、緑の花紙をちぎって飾りました♪
早くできた子は“ミニ先生”となりお友達を手伝ってくれました😊

綺麗な和柄の折り紙を着物に見立て着せていきます🌸

「どんなお顔にしようかなー」と言い、
御代理様とお雛様がどんな顔なのか、想像しながら描けました🎎✨

   仕上げに、髪飾りとしゃくと扇を丁寧にカットし貼り付け
完成✨

みんな指先の使い方が上手くなり、細かい作業もスムーズに出来るようになってきました！

Kindy 3に進級するまで残り１ヶ月！！
たくさん思い出作ろうね♪

Hello, we are Small Kids!

This was our first ever pajama day and we had the best time! We came to school nice and cozy and we even got to have a short lesson filled with songs.

“Red and white and pink and green.”

After lesson we got to play with Laken’s stuffed octopus, Squishy. He was so soft! We almost took a nap together. 

Getting the perfect group picture was a must! We all worked hard and moved the chairs to the mat. 

“Good job everyone!”

It took us a couple tries, but we got a pretty great picture with Laken and Mika.

“Pajama Day!”

Laken had a surprise for us and told us we were going to build a fort. We used all the chairs we had and even our parachute!

“What’s inside?”

“Laken, what’s this?”

After lunch we had some quiet time and worked on coloring our very own pajamas. We had lots of fun getting to sit on the mat and color. 

“What color are your pajamas?”

We moved to the play area for the best part of pajama day. We got to watch Despicable Me! 

Some of us wanted to sit on the chairs but some of us wanted to sit on the comfy cushions. 

“You are so focused!”

“So many Minions!”

Our first pajama day was a big success! We had so much fun and it was so relaxing. 

Laken and Mika hope you enjoyed wearing your pajamas as much as we did!

こんにちは！先週金曜日はデイクラスのPajama Day (パジャマで登園する日)で盛り上がっていましたね♪ ですが実はこの日行われたイベントは、これだけではありませんでした。

これまた３年ぶりに行われたのは、卒園生クラスのSpelling Bee (スペリングコンテスト)☆

日本人には聞き馴染みのないこの“Spelling Bee”ですが、子どもたちを対象としたスペリング大会で、アメリカを発祥とし、今では世界各地で開催されています。

この日のために勉強してきた子どもたちによって熱戦がくり広げられたコンテスト、そのドキドキの様子をご覧ください↓↓

卒園生クラス３学年からこの日集まってくれた２２人、まずは予選でスタート！

Spelling Beeのルールでは、出題された単語を聞いて、そのつづりを答えなければいけません。何も見ないで即座に英単語をつづるのは、想像以上に難しいものです、、間違えたらそこで脱落という厳しいルールの中、みんな勝ち抜けられるかな?!

“Orange, o-r-a-n-g-e, orange.” (オレンジのスペルを回答)

“It’s correct!” (正解！)

ここで、予選２ラウンドをくぐり抜けたファイナリストたちが、ステージに上がりました！手に汗を握る決勝ラウンドの開始！(>_<)

どんどん難易度を増していく出題単語に、壇上の人数も減っていきます。緊張で静まり返る回答の後の、、正解！　お友だちを応援する子どもたちからは拍手が！

そしてついに頂上決戦の時。出題者、回答者、観客、会場にいるだれもがドキドキの時間。何周もの回答を経て、ついに決着！

卒園生クラスで開催するこのイベント、Spelling Beeには先生たちの熱い思いがこもっています。

いつまでも英語学習へのモチベーションを忘れないで欲しい、

そして英語力そのものだけでなく、仲間と切磋琢磨する大切さを知って欲しい、緊張する舞台を経験して強くなって欲しい、、

精一杯がんばってここまで来てくれたみんなに、先生たちはとっても感動しました！さあ、緊張がとけたみんな、笑顔で表彰式です(^O^)

普段の行事とは異なり、子どもたちの悔しい表情も垣間見るこのイベント。でも、コンテスト出場を決意して勉強してきたこと、緊張の中堂々と回答できたこと、、大きな一歩を踏み出してきた全員を、先生たちはとても誇らしく思います！みんなよくがんばったね！

Thank you for coming, everybody. All you guys did so well. Your efforts won’t be wasted. Let’s keep studying!

こんにちは、Kindy 1(年少クラス）です♪

今日は、Math（算数）でSurvey（調査）についての学習をしている様子をお届けします！

先日行われたスポーツデイの振り返りをしながら、どのゲームが好きかを調査してみました！

“Which Sports Day event did you like the most?”（どのゲームがいちばん好きだった？）

“I liked ball toss the most!”（玉入れがいちばん好きだった！）

“I liked foot race!”（かけっこがいちばん好き！）

“Because I can run sooo fast!”（とってもはやく走れるから！）

調査の結果は分かりやすいようにTally marks（日本でいう正の字のようなもの）を使ってみよう！

棒（┃┃┃┃）を書いていき、５本目は、斜め（＼）に線を入れるよ！

そうすると、斜めの線が入ってあるものを「5」と数えられるから簡単だよ！

投票の結果、Kindy 1で一番人気があったのは、、、

Ball toss（玉入れ）でした！　

次は、graphを使って調査結果を見やすくまとめてみよう！

ブロックを使って挑戦！

こうすると、結果が一目瞭然だね👍

最後は、絵を使って表してみよう！

“What picture do you want to use?”（どんな絵を使いたい？）

“I want to use a heart!”（ハートを使いたい！）

Nice drawing! （上手に描けたね！）

こちらは、picture(絵）を使って表しているので、pictographといいます！

結果を表すには、いろいろな方法があるんだね！

特にTally marksはとっても便利だから覚えておこうね(^^)

～とある日のプレイタイムの様子～

最近は特に、何人かで集まって遊ぶことが増えてきました。

スポーツデイの名残か、ゲートを作って楽しそうな様子☆

壊れてほしくないからといってきちんと補助付きです。（笑）

そしてクリスマスから２ヶ月が経とうとしますが、Kindy 1のプレイタイムでは毎日がクリスマスです。（笑）

“What do you want to make today?”（何を作りたい？）

“I want to make a Christmas tree!”（クリスマスツリーを作りたい！）

“Everyone, sleep please! Santa is coming!!”（みんなサンタがくるから寝るよー！）

お気に入りのマグネットでこんな事までできるように♡

Kindy 1も残すところあと１か月!!

Hello Kindy 3!

As we near the end of our time in Kindy 3, we have started talking about what we want to do in the future. There are so many occupations that we could take and everyone has their own opinions about which ones would be fun.

We all know the basic jobs but there are so many other choices. What better game to play with occupations than charades. Everyone is familiar with this game since it’s so fun to play and we were able to get right into it.

Some of the vocabulary is harder to do actions for and they had to get creative at times but they were almost always able to get their team to guess the words.

They got very excited to play the game and were trying to guess as fast as possible. Some of the harder jobs allowed them to make some funny actions which made everyone laugh and keep the motivation up to win for their teams.

By the end of it everyone was super excited to make actions for the various jobs and wanted to continue playing. Even though some of us started out a little shy, everyone was super into it by the end of the game!

こんにちは、Preschoolです！

今日は、昨日のブログでもご紹介したIKAのSports Day (運動会)の様子をくわしくご紹介します☆

“March, march!! March, march, march♪ ♬ ♫” (いち、にー、いち、にー、行進だ！)

きれいに１列に並んでにこやかに入場です！上手にひざを高く上げて行進することができている子がいて、始まってすぐですが先生たちは、もう感動です♡

そしてはじめての徒競走！

“Are you ready?” (準備はいいかな？)

“Yes, we are!!!” (うん！準備できたよ！！！)

クリスマスコンサートの時と同じ掛け声を、もっともっと自信を持ってアリーナに響き渡るほどの大きな声で言えたね！

“Ready, set, go!!”(位置について、よーい、ドン！！)

フライングしてしまわないようにToni先生の「Go」の合図をみんなよく聞き、一斉に走り出します！

自分のレーンの中を走る練習をたくさんしたから、本番でもバッチリだったね！

ゴールの先に待っていた大好きなおうちの人を目指して一直線！とっても癒されました♡

しっかり水分補給をしたあとは、、、

親子参加の障害物競走！！！

Team Zebra (しまうまチーム)とTeam Giraffe (キリンチーム)に分かれてよーいドン！

サバンナをテーマにした３つの障害物！へびがいるコーンを避けて走るくねくねロードや、カーテントンネル、ワニやお魚がいる川を渡るバランスロードがあったね！

“Zig zag zig zag!” (ジグザクジグザグ！)

“One two! One two” (いち、に！いち、に！)

“Go! Go! Friend!!” (がんばれ！〇〇くん！)

最後にprize(ごほうび)をもらって、にんまり(^ ^)♡　Preschoolのみんな、とってもがんばったね！

はじめてのSports Dayはどうだったかな？たくさん練習をした成果と成長をおうちの人に見てもらえたね！IKAの先生みんながPreschoolのみんなのことを誇りに思っているよ！！！

今年後は残りあと１ヶ月(´；ω；`)♡　たーーーくさんの楽しい日々を一緒に過ごしていこうね！

こんにちは！今日は、先日行われた Sports Day (運動会) の様子を大公開しちゃいます♪

まずは最初にやってきたPreschool (2歳児クラス)の子どもたち！冬にクリスマスコンサートの大舞台を経験したこともあり、大きなアリーナでもニコニコ笑顔がたくさん(^^)

初めての徒競走。勢いよく飛び出して、ゴールで待っている大好きな家族の胸にダーイブ☆

親子競技も盛り上がり、1年間の大きな成長とかわいい姿で、観客をメロメロにさせてくれました♡

そして午後にやってきたのはKindy (年少・年中・年長クラス)。今回はなんと3年ぶりの、多学年合同＆有観客での開催。Kindy生全員にとって、初めてのSports Dayです！

Kindy 3の堂々とした選手宣誓でスタート♪

Kindy生は2つのチームに分かれて、Foot Race (徒競走)、Ball Toss Game (玉入れ)、Tug of War (綱引き)、Obstacle Race (障害物競争)の4種目をやり遂げました(^O^)

お互いへの声援も飛び交います☆

“Good job, White Team!”
“Thank you, Orange Team!”

というお互いのがんばりをねぎらう言葉も忘れずに。スポーツは子どもたちの身体だけでなく、心も成長させます(^^)

大きなアリーナ、そして家族やお友だちからの声援に、子どもたちの気合いとテンションは最高潮！そしてプログラムは後半、Kindy 3による体操種目のパフォーマンスへ。

びしっと決まるその姿に、場内の誰もが感動。多クラスが集まるイベントだからこそ、小さい子たちのあどけなさ、そして卒園間近の子どもたちのこれまでの成長も、ひとしおに感じられます。

子どもたちにとっては、他クラスのパフォーマンスを見るのも初めてのこと。年下クラスのみんなの目に、Kindy 3のお兄さん・お姉さんたちはどう映ったのかな？… みんなが憧れられる番も、すぐにやってくるよ！

1年で最後の大イベント、Sports Day！みんなが楽しんでくれたようで先生たちもとっても嬉しいです♡ これからも健康な心身を育てていこう☆

Hello again, everyone! Kindy 2 is back again with another awesome blog! This time we’re going to be talking about our transportation theme lesson!

“Transportation” is a pretty big word to remember, but the actual meaning is quite simple! It’s the things we use to get from one place to another!

So a good first step is to see how many different modes of transportation we can think of. The answers we got were great! Kindy 2 was able to mention cars, trains, airplanes and even boats!

There are many different ways to get around, and it was great to see Kindy 2 name so many different kinds of vehicles!

The next, and noticeably harder step, was to match certain types of verbs with each type of transport. For example, we can say “drive a car”, but we definitely don’t say “sail a car”. At least, we sure hope you’ve never had to sail your car.

After some practice learning some verbs and doing a little bit of review, it was time for a game! Rock, Scissor, Paper Train seemed to fit this theme lesson perfectly! A slight twist was that the students were able to choose any mode of transportation they liked! Some of us were trains, others were airplanes!

It was a great time and Kindy 2, as always, showed that they can do a terrific job! Way to go, Kindy 2!

ゲームではめくったものが何か答えたりもします！
“It’s hair!”（髪だよ！）

時にはこんなゲームも！
Laken先生が持ってきたホワイトボードにはお顔が！みんな興味津々です⭐︎
でもどこかおかしいね〜？目や鼻など顔のパーツがありません！みんなでお顔を作ってあげよう(^^)！

“Where does the mouth go?”（お口はどこにいくかな？）
“Here!”（ここ！）

時にはお友達と一緒にパーツをくっつけます♪
“stick, stick~!”（ペタペタ〜！）

“Ta-da!”（ジャジャーン！）
みんなのおかげで顔ができました⭐︎
最後にもう一度パーツの名前を確認します♪




そして最近みんなが好きなのがSimon Saysというゲーム！

このゲームでは、指示役のSimon（サイモンさん）が“Simon says…”と言ったら、そのあとに続く命令通りに動かなければいけません！Simonの言うことをよく聞いておこうね〜⭐︎

今回はお外のプレイタイム時にSimon Saysを行ってみました(^^)
“Simon says, touch your head!”（サイモンさんが言いました、頭を触ってね！）

“Simon says, touch your toes!”（サイモンさんが言いました、つま先を触ってね！）

よくできました♡

お家でもどこでも簡単にできるゲームなので、ぜひみんなでやってみてください(^^)♪

みんなでたくさん楽しい時間を過ごそうね(^^)♡

Good job, Small Kids!!

Hello from the Kindy 1 class!

Sports Day is coming up and we’ve been working hard to prepare.

Not only have we been practicing to strengthen our athletic ability, but we’ve also been learning how to be being a team player and most importantly a “good sport”.

To begin, we warm up our bodies by doing some light physical activity such as jogging or jumping jacks. This raises our body temperatures and prepares us for the activities that will follow. It gets our blood pumping and increases blood flow to our muscles making them more flexible.

Once our muscles are warm, we do some stretching to loosen our muscles and improve performance.

“Nice balancing!”

Once we are properly warmed up and stretched, we line up to prepare for the first activity.

This activity is called the “Foot Race”. In this activity we run as fast as we can against our opponents.

When we line up, we get in our ready position. “On you mark, get set, GO!”

Kara told us that this is called a “sprint” which means we run at full speed for a short distance. She told us it’s important to keep our elbows bent and to move our arms back and forth when we run.

Since it’s such a short distance she told us to run as fast as we can and to give it all we’ve got!

We’ve been getting better and better with each practice!

“Go, go, go!” “Good job everyone!”

Our next activity is called “Tug-of- War”.

To set up for the activity we need to “zig zag” along the rope. It’s important to keep our “bodies facing forward “and our “feet in split stance”. Our hands should be “one in front of the other” and our thumbs should be “facing forward.”

We’ve practiced hard to get our tugging stances down.

After the MC says “GO!” we all work together to pull as hard as we can. We remember to find a good rhythm and to keep our back legs steady.

“Awesome job, everyone!”

Another activity we’ve been preparing for is called “Ball Toss”.

We have one minute to get as many balls into the basket as we can!

We’ve been practicing our “overhand” and our “underhand” throws. We always try our best and have been improving after each practice!”

“Nice throwing!”

The final activity we’ve been practicing for is called “Obstacle Relay Race”. There’s a lot of moving parts to this one so we need to make sure we stay focused.

“Nice job balancing over the stones!”

We know that while we wait for our teammates to finish, we need to have our hands out ready to be tagged. It’s a relay race so we need to save as much time as we can!

“You rang the bell, great job!” “Now go tag your teammate!”

“Go, go, go!” “Wahooo, great job!”

After every event, we always make sure to high five our teammates AND our opponents, telling them they did a great job!

At the end of the day, it’s not about winning or losing, it’s about loving the game, trying your best and being a good sport!

“Yay!” “You did a great job!” “Good game!” “Nice work!”

Amazing work, Kindy 1! Momoko and Kara are extremely proud of how hard you’ve been practicing. It’s not only inspiring to see you trying your best, but also heartwarming to see you lift each other up. You are amazing team players and all around true sports!

You are all WINNERS! We love you and can’t wait to see you SHINE on Sports Day!

こんにちは、Kindy 3(年長クラス)です。

皆さんはどのようなValentine’s Day(バレンタインデー)を過ごしましたか？

今回はValentine’s Dayに向けて行ったクラフト制作の様子をお届けします！

Kindy 3ではチョコレートをモチーフにしたメッセージカードを制作しました。

使う画用紙の色は赤、灰色、茶色。

この３色だけで、どんな食べ物がテーマのクラフトを作るのか、みんなピンときた様子です♪

“We are going to make a craft for Valentine’s Day, aren’t we ?” (バレンタインのクラフトを作るんでしょ！)

“Those are the colors for chocolate bars!”  (チョコレートの色だ！)

クラフトを制作する中で紙をやぶる作業がありました。

今までのクラフト制作では、やぶらないように気をつけてねと言われていた子どもたち。

最初はみんな少し戸惑っていましたが、普段やらない作業を楽しく行っている様子でした♪

“Are you sure we can rip the paper?” (本当にやぶっていいの？)

今回のクラフトでは、少し複雑なチョコレートの模様も書きました。

制作する中でみんな誰にあげるのか、お友達と楽しそうにお話をする子どもたち♪

最後にメッセージを書いて完成！

みんなの愛が詰まったチョコレートのできあがり！

Hello everyone, Preschool Class here!

“Happy Valentine’s Day!”

We all worked very hard to make our Valentine’s Craft for you. We were so careful to make sure our heart stamps kept their shape as we used them.

“It’s heart!” 

“Yeah, it is! Are you rubbing or stamping?” Haha! We were supposed to not rub, but it was so much fun!

“Preschool, while we stamp our papers, some of us will be painting our cake, okay?”

“Yay!”

“What color do you want?”

“I want…” 

We were really good at asking for our colors, so our cake was very personalized. 

“Make sure you paint all over. Bye bye, white spots!”

“Rub rub rub!”

“Don’t forget the sides!”

“Okay!

We tried to wait patiently for our turn to paint the cake! 

“It’s purple!”

“Wow, it sure is!”

After everyone made their heart papers, our cake was dry and ready to finish decorating. We listened so well to Nanami’s directions! We were ready!

“Preschool, you are going to take one tissue paper and crumble it, okay?”

“Okay, Nanami!”

“After you have a ball, then you can stick to the cake, okay?”

“Okay!”

Stick stick!

“Toni, more please!”

Crumble crumble

We made sure our chocolate tissue balls weren’t too small or too big. We are so good at this. ^.^

“Toni! More please!”

Toni was so funny! She was running from us to make us chase her for more tissue paper!

After everything was ready, we were so excited to take a photo with our cake! Did you hear our big voices as we gave you our finished craft? 

“I love you!”

Great job, Preschool! Toni and Nanami are so proud of you and all the hard work you put in to make this present for your Valentine! Let’s keep doing our best and keep having fun together!

みなさんこんにちは！

先週の金曜日は、毎月恒例のおたんじょうび会をひらきました♪

今回の主役はなんと、6人もいたのです!(^^)!

さて、子どもたちは今回なにをして楽しんでくれたのか、さっそく見ていきましょう！

まずは、Kindy 1(年少クラス)のみんなから☆

もうすぐ年度末ということで、Kindy 1のみんなも色々な種類の質問ができるようになりました！

-“Where did you celebrate?” (どこでお誕生日をお祝いしたの？)

-“I celebrated at my house” (家でお祝いしたよ！)

-“Did you get an Elsa present?” (エルサのプレゼントをもらったの？)

-“No, I didn’t. I got a princess book.” (ううん、もらってないよ。プリンセスの絵本を買ってもらったの！)

たくさん質問をしていて、みんなの成長が感じられたよ☆

つづいてゲームの時間では、みんな大好き♡フルーツバスケットをしてあそんだね！

おともだちが着ている服の色やキャラクター、おたんじょうびが2月の子など、たくさんのお題を考えて楽しんでいました(^^♪

言われたお題に当てはまる子どもが多いと、みんないっせいに立って大あわて！

見ていた先生たちも癒されました(#^.^#)

自由にお題を言う時間がおわると、フルーツバスケットらしく「色」でグループ分け！

何色をえらぼうか、迷っちゃうね～

みんなのかわいい笑顔がたくさん見られて、嬉しいです(^^)

またフルーツバスケットをしてあそぼうね！

続いては、Kindy 2 (年中クラス)のパーティーです☆

今回ははじめからジムで行われたもよう！

Andrew先生の提案で、好きなケーキの質問をされたときには、キャラクターではなく「味」で答えるというルールがあるKindy 2！

そして、おちゃめなKindy 2のみんなの質問コーナーでは、こんなやりとりが繰り広げられました…。

-“What kind of cake do you want to have?” (どんなケーキが食べたいの？)

-“I want a chocolate flavor Minion cake!” (「ミニオン」のチョコレートケーキだよ！)

-“Should it not be banana flavor?!” (えー！バナナ味じゃないの？！)

-“No! Not banana flavor!”(ちがうよー！)

このやり取りに、みんな思わず笑ってしまいました(^^)/

レクリエーションの時間では、Octopus(タコゲーム)というゲームをしたKindy 2！

このゲームは、ジムの真ん中に立っているオニをよけながら、反対側の壁まで走っていくというものです！

今回は、おたんじょうびの4人がオニになりました☆

そして、子どもの人数が多いKindy 2は、２つにグループ分け！

位置について…　よーい…

どん！！！

みんな一生懸命オニをよけながら走っていたね!(^^)!

そしてOctopusの時間がおわると、Andrew先生がShark(サメ)となって、おたんじょうびの主役たちと対決！！

やっぱりAndrew先生には敵わないよ～！(>_<)

みんなどんどん捕まってしまいました！！

（でもちょこっと嬉しそう…？）

と思っていたら、なんとOctopusのうちの一人がAndrew先生から逃げ切れたのです！

勝利のガッツポーズをかかげ、とってもうれしそう(#^.^#)

質問コーナーでの一幕や、ゲームでの意外な展開で、大盛りあがりのKindy 2でした♪

最後は、Kindy 3(年長クラス)の様子をのぞいていきましょう！

もう質問コーナーは朝めし前なKindy 3のみんな(^^)/

とってもユニークな質問をしてくれました！

-“What costume do you want to wear?” (どんなコスチュームが着たいの？)

-“An Iron man costume.” (アイアンマンのコスチュームだよ！)

-“Who are you going to invite to your birthday party?” (おたんじょうびパーティーには、誰を招待したい？)

-“I’m going to invite my grandma!” (おばあちゃんを招待するつもりだよ！)

楽しいおたんじょうびパーティーだったといいな☆

レクリエーションでは、なにやら面白そうなゲームをあそんでいたKindy 3のみんな( ^)o(^ )

どんなゲームかというと、まずは、おたんじょうびの子以外のみんなで「親」を決めて、その「親」の動きをみんなが真似するというものでした！

そして、おたんじょうびの子は「親」をあてるというゲームです！

まずは誰が「親」になるかを相談します！

（この間、おたんじょうびの子は聞こえないよう待機しています！）

ゲーム開始！

だれが「親」なのか意外とわからないみたいで、おたんじょうびの子は苦戦していました(>_<)

（あれ？なんだかみんなこのあたりを、ちらちらと確認しているような…）

おたんじょうびの子が怪しんでいたエリアは、大正解！

あてられた「親」は、あてる役になってゲームを続けていました！

Kindy 3は定番のゲームではなく、マイナーで少し難しい遊びをしていて、とってもすごいね！！

来月はI.K.A.で最後のおたんじょうび会！Kindy 3のみんなが一体どんなゲームをするのか、先生たちも楽しみに待っているね♪

あらためて、2月生まれのみんな、お誕生日おめでとう！

どんどん成長していくみんなの姿を見られて、先生たちは幸せです(#^.^#)

こんにちは！Kindy 2(年中クラス)です！
今日はバレンタインですね❤️

今回はバレンタイン製作で作ったカップケーキを紹介したいと思います♪

まず、フワフワの毛糸を紙コップの輪に通してきます！
“Tie your strings tightly!” (ギュッと引っ張ってね！)

“It’s so hard!” (難しいな〜)
“I have seven left! Almost finished!”(残り７本！もうすぐ終わりそう！)

難しい工程も自分の力で出来ました✨

達成感から
“Can you take a picture, please?” (写真撮って！！)
と自ら写真を求めてくる子も♪

カップには先生の見本を見ながら”Happy Valentine’s Day!”と書きました！
普段から行っているライティングの練習が活かされ、スラスラっと書き上げられました⭐️

それをカップに糊で丁寧に貼っていき、、、

毛糸で作ったケーキ部分をのせて、、、、

じゃーん！完せーい！
みんなの顔写真をカップケーキに差し込んでとってもかわいいカップケーキが出来ました❤️

そして、今日のスクールランチにはチョコレートケーキが👀✨
みんな嬉しそうに食べていました♪

Hello, we are Small Kids!

It`s the season of love and we got to make our very own valentines pizza!

We learned that we would get to use sauce, cheese and stickers to make our pizza. 

“Pizza!!”

We needed to add lots of sauce to make the pizza extra tasty. Painting was so much fun and we were so focused.

“Add lots of sauce everyone!”

“Painting, painting.”

Our favorite topping is cheese and we added lots. We tried our best to rip the tissue to make the cheese but it was a little bit hard so Laken helped us out!

“Rip the tissue.”

Laken and Mika gave us the cutest pepperonis ever! They were shaped like hearts, just for valentines day. 

“Stick, stick.”

“Add your pepperonis.”

All of our hard work paid off and we made super awesome valentines day pizzas!

“We did it!”

“Cheese.”

We practiced giving our valentines day pizza to our friends so that we could give it to our mommies and daddies on valentines day.

“Here you are.”

“Be my valentine?”

We had so much fun making our pizzas and practicing how to say “Be my valentine.” We wanted to show off our hard work to all of our friends!

“3, 2, 1……Cheese!”

Hello everyone! We are English Time Classes!

This week we were all excited to be coloring again! We have pairs of matching animals we learned about earlier in the school year, like Starfish and Horse!

“I want to make it colorful.”

“Ready to cut? Keep your thumb towards the ceiling and the silver part away from you.”

“Okay!”

Some of us brought our crafts from the Bean Throwing Ceremony, too!

Our craft this month was so easy, right? We can find our animal pairs by ourselves or against each other. It takes memorization skills to win!

After that, we played “What Time Is It, Mr. Wolf” again! We knew what to expect, so some classes were expecting what was to come.

“It’s, 4 o’clock.”

“One… Two… Three… Four…”

“It’s, Dinner Time!”

“AHHH!!!!

“I got you!”

“It’s Dinner Time!”

“Hahaha!!!”

“AAHHHH!”

Well, some of us were extra brave and tried to trick the Wolf, lol.

Another Fun Week is done and we enjoyed another exciting break in our everyday classes.

こんにちは、Kindy 1（年少クラス）です(^^)

来週は、いよいよバレンタインですね♡

みんなは、お菓子を作って好きな人にプレゼントするのかな？

Kindy 1では、バレンタインカードを作りました！

その様子をみてみよ～!

心を込めてメッセージを書いていきます。

“You can use any colors!”（好きな色を使っていいよ！）

たくさんのハートを添えて♡

はさみを使ってハート形に挑戦しました！

二つ折りした画用紙を線に沿って丁寧にカットしていきます！

広げるとかわいいハートの完成！

みんな驚きと嬉しさでお互い見せ合いっこしていました。(笑)

はさみの使い方が本当に上達していてびっくりです！

少しのヘルプもいらず持つ位置を上手く変えながら安全にはさみが使えました！

最近は、“Take your time!”や“Slowly please!”などと先生の真似をしながら声をかけあって作業をしています。

みんなが切ったハートとビーズを袋に入れてテープで留めると、シャカシャカの完成です！

さあ、この袋は一体どうやって使うのかなー？

“Did you finish already?”（もう終わったの？）

“I want to add more!”（もっとビース入れたいよ~）

ハートの穴の後ろにくっつけてこんな風になりました！！

とってもかわいい表紙になったね(^^)

こんにちは、Preschoolです☆

今回は、節分の日に向けたクラフトの様子と、豆まきをした様子をご紹介します！

さっそくクラフトの様子から！Preschoolでは、鬼を退治するときに使える鬼のお顔のコップを制作しました。

“First, can you rip the red origami paper?” (まず、赤いおりがみを破いていくよ〜）

“Next, can you use your glue stick on your cup? Then stick the origami on to it.” (次はのりを取って、おりがみを紙コップに貼っていってね〜)

紙コップの余白がなくなるように、おりがみを貼り付けた後は、鬼のお顔を作っていくよ〜！マーカーも上手に使える様になってきましたよ！

“Is your Demon happy or angry?” (おにさんは笑ってるかな？怒ってるかな？)

“Angry!!” (怒ってる〜！)

“Grumpy!!!” (ムッとしてる〜！)

うしろの方で、にっこり笑顔(^ ^)　鬼のツノや目、お顔も書けたね〜！

このおにさんはにっこり笑顔だ！やさしいおにさんもきっといるよね！

“Please crumble the green yarn and stick it to the Demon’s head!!” (毛糸を手のひらでくるくるまとめて、ペタっと貼ってね！)

“Yeah! I did it!!” (やったー！できた！)

そして…

“Gaaahhhh!!!” (がぁぁーーー！)

きゃーーーーーーーー！！！！！！

アレルギーの観点からPreschoolのみんなは、新聞紙を小さくまるめた「豆」をこの日のためにたくさん用意しました！「豆」を制作した鬼のカップにいれて、鬼をやっつけるぞー！！！！

泣きながらも勇敢にがんばっている子や、かしこく距離をたもって豆を投げている子、へっちゃらで楽しんでいる子も♡

“Go away, Demon! Go away, Demon!!!” (鬼はそとーー！！)

ちょっと不安な顔になりながらも、鬼をやっつけようとがんばっています！！！

“Go go, Preschool!!” (みんな、がんばれ！)

“Yeah! We did it!! The Demons are gone!!!” (やった！鬼さんたちは、いなくなったね！)

先生たちがよろこぶ中、Preschoolのみんなの表情は「ほんと？もうもどってこない？」と不安げでした(^ ^)♡

しばらくして、鬼をやってくれた先生たちは、いつもの姿にもどって、みんなに会いにきてくれました！

“Thank you, Preschool! You saved us!!” (みんな、ありがとう！みんなのおかげで元に戻れたよ〜！）

みんな安心した様子で、ぎゅーっ♡

みんなとっても勇敢で、とってもかわいい姿をみせてくれました！

Hello Kindy 3!

As everyone knows, math is a big part of our world. We use it everywhere each day and we are getting even better at it this month. We already know the basics but now it’s time to get into a more difficult topic, multiplication.

We began by using the board to write out the math so we could see how it works. One of the numbers is how many groups, and the other is how many are in each group. We showed this by drawing squares with dots inside of each one. Then, counting the dots would give the answer.

Next, using a similar concept of having groups for each number we moved on to using beads. This time making multiple piles of the same size.

Math can be hard but when you break it down in to the small steps it is easy to understand and master. This was a great way to work as a team and practice counting too.

The first problem was of course the hardest and with each new one, it got easier and we got faster and faster. Everyone got along well and did their best to help out the others on their team.

Let’s keep it up and become the math wizards that I know we can be!

Hello, everyone! Another Tuesday, another blog day for Kindy 2! This week will be all about playtime!

Many people think of playtime as some sort of break in-between lessons. However, playtime itself is an excellent learning experience!

It gives everyone a chance to simply be themselves without having to worry about worksheets, reading or anything else.

Playtime is an excellent time for everyone to showcase their creativity as well! You’d be surprised at just how many things Kindy 2 can make with magnets!

Learning to socialize is also a key aspect as well! It’s one thing to be nice during class time, but it’s equally as important to get along when you’re allowed to play together!

Recently we’ve also started doing some origami for those who like it! It takes really good motor skills, but Kindy 2 is always up to the challenge!

Of course, playtime is also a terrific time to just let all the silly out! Making others laugh is just as important as any language arts worksheet.

We are happy to report that everyone is getting along well! Kindy 2 is one big class of friends and we all look out for each other!

The Kindy 2 school year is almost at it’s end, so we’re happy to see that everyone is making the most out of our time together. Keep up the fantastic work, Kindy 2!
