Hello everyone! Kindy 2 reporting in for the final blog of the year! We’ve had such a fantastic run and we hope you all enjoyed the year as much as we did! For one of our final lessons of the year, we learned about space!

Space is a huge topic to cover, both literally and metaphorically! There are planets, stars, black holes, constellations and much much more!

Even though it’s a big topic, that means there is a ton of fun stuff to do! One thing that everyone loves is testing gravity. Gravity is a hard concept to grasp no matter how old you are. So to make things easier we set up a demonstration!

Everyone got to throw marbles and see for themselves what happens when something big, like our sun, curves space and time!

Kindy 2 did so well we were able to move on to more complicated things! For example, we learned the basics of what is happening inside a star!

And to make sure we remembered our vocabulary, we played a spelling game!

Everyone was super excited to guess a letter! It’s no surprise that Kindy 2 was able to get every puzzle thrown their way.

Sometimes it took a few guesses, but Kindy 2 did a fantastic job of guessing letters and solving all the puzzles!

We are so happy that everyone was able to have fun with space. It’s been a fantastic year and we are so proud of everyone! Everyone is ready for the challenges that await! in Kindy 3! As long as you keep trying your best, there are no limits! Thank you so much, Kindy 2!

こんにちは、Small Kids（1歳児クラス）です！

今回で今年度のSmall Kidsのブログは最後になってしまいました！
たくさん素敵な思い出をみんなで作ってきたSmall Kids。前回に引き続き1年の後半の思い出を振り返ってきいます(^^)♪

〈October〉
10月といえばハロウィン！
Pumpkin carving（かぼちゃの彫刻）をしました♪頑張って中身を取り出したね⭐︎

ハロウィンパーティーも行いました！
みんなの仮装姿はとっても可愛かったなあ♡

〈November〉
11月は鶴舞公園にfield trip（親子遠足）に行きました♪たくさんのお花や植物を見たね(^^)

〈December〉
12月はクリスマスパーティーがありましたよ⭐︎
みんなでアクティビティをたくさんしてクリスマスを味わいました(^^)

〈January〉
年が明け外で遊べる気温にもなってきた頃です♪
みんなジャングルジムもどんどん自分で登れるようになり成長を感じていました(^^)

クラフトではnew year popper（新年のクラッカー）を作りました⭐︎

〈February〉
節分では鬼退治をしたね⭐︎みんな頑張って鬼に立ち向かいました(^^)！！

また、バレンタインに向けハートのピザを作りましたよ♡
“Happy Valentine’s Day!”と言う練習もして、大好きなパパやママに言えるようにもなったね(^^)

Pajama day（パジャマデイ）では、いつもと違う様子にみんなワクワクしていました♪

〈March〉
いよいよ3月。この時期ならではの様々なアクティビティを行いました♪
Strawberry picking（いちご狩り）をしたり、


イースターのegg hunt（たまごハンティング）をしたりもしました(^^)

みんなとこの1年でたくさんの大切な思い出ができたね⭐︎今年度も残り早いもので1週間。みんなで楽しい時間をすごそうね♡

こんにちは、Kindy 1(年少クラス)です♪

はやいもので、今年度は残り1週間となりました。Kindy 1のブログ更新は来週で最後となります、、、。

なので今日と来週で2回に分けてこの一年を振り返ってみたいと思います！

April

入園式。新しいユニフォームに袖を通しわくわくした様子で登園していたね！少し不安な表情を浮かべながらも“I’m here!”と大きな声で返事ができたよね！今の写真と比べるとみんな大きくなったね！

May

Kindy初めての遠足。みんなで何度も列を揃えて歩く練習をしたね！おかげで当日は安全に歩けました！Kindy 2(年中クラス)& Kindy 3(年長クラス)と初めて一緒に遊びました！お外にある大きな広場でたくさんゲームをしたよね！

帰りのバスではみんなぐっすりでしたね💤

June

６月末には待ちに待ったプール開き。

“Do we have pool today?”（今日はプールあるの？）

水遊びが大好きなみんなはほとんど毎日聞いていました。（笑）

July

七夕祭り。きらきら星を歌ったり、ビデオを観たりしたね！

みんなのお願い事を書いた短冊も作ったよね！

教室ではお星さま探し☆彡

お友達の名前を探してしっかり渡せたね！

August

夏祭り。みんなで浴衣を着て、おもちゃすくいやヨーヨー釣りなどたくさんゲームをしたね！

ドラえもん音頭の踊りもかっこよかったよ！

教室ではじゃんけん列車をしたよね！

この時はまだじゃんけんのルールが少ししか理解できていなかったけど今はもう完璧だね！

September

初めての消防署見学。本物の消防士さんと、大きな消防車を見れて感動したよね！

消防車の中に入ってみたり、いろいろな道具を見せてもらったり貴重な経験をさせてもらいました。

IKAに戻ってからは牛乳パックで作った消防車でレースをしたよね！

Kindy 1の上半期の思い出はどうでしたか？

こうして振り返ってみるとたくさん楽しい出来事があったね！

あと5日と思うと寂しくなるけれど、最後まで一瞬一瞬を大事に楽しんで過ごそうね♡

みなさん、こんにちは！今回は、SDGsイベント第7弾の様子をお届けします。Preschool～Kindy 3の4学年合同開催でした♪

今回のテーマは15個めのゴールである、”Life on Land” (陸の豊かさを守ろう)です。”Keep land animals’ home safe!!” (陸のどうぶつのおうちを守ろう！)と覚えました。

どうぶつの中には、人がたくさん木を切り倒すことで住む場所がなくなったり、ツノだけが目当てで狩られたり、そうしてendangered animals (絶滅危惧種)になってしまう種類もいるんだよ、とLaken先生がお話してくれました。話し終わるや否や、たくさんの意見が出てきました！

“We can use leaves/rocks/bricks!” (木の代わりに葉っぱ/石/レンガを使えばいいんだよ！)

“We shouldn’t take other’s things.” (他の人やどうぶつのものはとっちゃだめだよね。)

どうしてどうぶつたちが減ってしまっているのかについての動画も見ました。

“What did we learn from the video?” (動画からどんなことが分かった？)

“It’s not good to take trees.” (木を取るのはよくないね。)

“Don’t mess up animals’ living space.” (どうぶつたちのすみかをぐちゃぐちゃにしちゃだめ！)

“The world is getting too hot and the ice is melting.” (世界中が熱くなって氷が溶けているんだよね？)

さすが！内容もばっちりだね☆

続いて、どうぶつたちをもっと身近に感じてもらうアクティビティをします！1つめは、どうぶつと、そのどうぶつに必要かもしれないものたちのフラッシュカードを使います。

“What does Sumatran Orangutan need to live?” (スマトラオランウータンが生活するには何がいるかな？)

“Strawberries!” (いちご！)

“Not plastic bottles.” (ペットボトルはいらないね。)

“How about lake?” (湖は？)

“Yes, he needs water to live. Good job!” (そうだね、生活のためにはお水も大切だね☆)

2つめのアクティビティはぬり絵！アムールヒョウ、スマトラオランウータン、ジャワサイの中から好きなどうぶつを選んで、色をぬります。

Thank you for coming! Today we learned that animals are losing their home because some people are doing something not nice to them. We are so proud of you that you gave us so many different ideas, and cared about endangered animals. Please keep on thinking what we can do for the world, and SDGs. Great job throughout this year☆

そして、今回のSDGsイベントで、スタンプカードが5個たまったお友達が1人増えました‪☺︎‬ 賞状とprizeをもらいました！ Good job‪☆

今回をもって、今年度最後のSDGsイベントとなりました。これまでたくさんのご参加、本当にありがとうございました！来年度のSDGsイベントもお楽しみに☆

こんにちは、Kindy 3 (年長クラス)です。

今回は子どもたちにとって最後の Indoor Exercise のレッスンの様子をお届けします。

ジムに入ったら前ならえをして並びます。両手もきれいにまっすぐ。

今日が最後のIndoor Exercise。みんないつも以上に気合いが入っています。

みんなの準備ができたら、先生の掛け声に合わせてごあいさつ。

「今日もがんばっていくぞー！」　　「おーーーーーっ！！！」

運動の前にはかならず準備運動が必要です。手や足の運動をします。

「いち、に、さん、し！」　「ごー、ろく、しち、はちっ！！！」

「に、に、さん、し！」　「ごー、ろく、しち、はちっ！！！」

その後はジムの中を走ったり、スキップしたりしてぐるっと数週。

準備運動も完ぺき！　今日はみんなで何をするのかな？？

まずはペアを作って、足のじゃんけんをしました。

「最初はぐー、じゃんけんぽん！」

じゃんけんで、ふたつのチームに別れたら始まったのはみんな大好きなドッジボール。

「ボールほしい人、手をあげて！」　「はーーーーい！！！」

みんなの闘争心に火がつきます！　がんばれー！

お友達を応援する元気な声がジムいっぱいにひびき渡ります。

みんな上手に投げて、上手にかわして。接戦です！

１回めの試合が終わると、次は少し変わったドッジボールをしました。

２チームとも円になって何やらこそこそお話し中。作戦会議かな？

みんなが遊んだのは、王様ドッジ。王様をひとりチームの中から選び、王様が誰かは相手チームには教えずにドッジボールをします。相手チームの王様をあてたらそこでゲームは終了。相手の王様を当てたチームの勝ちとなります。

みんなで円になって、誰が王様になるか決めていたようです。

みんな準備ができたら、ゲームスタート！

どちらのチームが勝つかな〜？

楽しい時間はあっという間。最後のIndoor Exerciseも終わりの時間です。

みんなもどことなく寂しそうでした。

そんな時でもKindy 3らしく、しっかりと大きな声であいさつをします。

「Thank you for this year！」

小学校でも運動を楽しんでね♪

Hello everyone, Preschool Class here!

We are almost finished with this year, and all of us are so excited to be big girls and big boys! We’ve started practicing how to behave as Kindy kids, and that means Toni and Nanami have shown us our last CST of the year to get ready for when we meet new friends!

“Nice to meet you!”

“Let’s play together!”

This was so easy to learn, so all of us can use a big voice! We like this CST because we like to touch hands and hug! Also, just for a few days, we were able to choose which friend we can partner up with .

“Who do you want to do with your CST?”

“Toni!”

“Oh, okay!”

“Go ahead and touch your friend.”

“Touch! Touch! Touch!”

“Hug!”

“Aw, you’re both so cute!”

Just like our CST mentions, we also love to play games together. We are really good at actually playing together rather than just next to each other now. When someone does something, we all notice and want to do it with them .

“I want to play outside today!”

“Oh, good idea! Preschool, do you want to play games or play with our toys outside?”

“Games!”

When we’re all ready to play games, Toni has us line up together!

“Preschool, if you are ready, can you take one step forward?”

“Ready step!”

“Ooh! You’re arms are ready too!”

“Let’s play jungle gym together!”

“Toni, look at me!”

“Nanami, look please!”

“Here you go! We have ice cream!”

“What flavor is it?”

“Strawberry!”

Aside from our friends, we also love to play with our teachers! Rather than using our teachers like toys, we can try speaking our minds and really engaging with them.

“Which dinosaur is your favorite?”

“This one! Nanami is this one?”

“Yes! This is my favorite!”

“Gobble! Gobble!”

But don’t worry, Toni and Nanami! We still like to play with you like you’re toys sometimes! 

“Aha!”

“Oh, you startled me!” 

Preschool, you are all getting so big! You’re almost finished with Preschool class, and we always hear you say you’re going to be in Kindy class soon! Let’s keep having fun in the time we have left together, and you will be ready to make more friends in your new class!

Toni and Nanami are so proud of you, Preschool! Keep doing your best no matter what!

昨日行ったイースターイベントの様子を紹介したいと思います！

子どもたちが色塗りをしたうさみみをつけてイベントスタート✨イースターについての読み聞かせで大爆笑のKindy 2😆

ジムでは４種類のゲームで大盛り上がり！

Carrot Fishing (にんじん釣り)では、
“Look! I got a carrot!!” (見て！にんじん釣れたよ！！)
とっても嬉しそうでした♪

ゲームをクリアするとシールがゲットできます！
シールを貰うたびに”I got three stickers! I can do one more game!”
(もう３つもシールもらえたよ！もう一つゲームができる！！)
子どもたち同士で会話をしながらゲームを楽しみました⭐️

教室に戻り、みんなが待ちに待ったイースターイベント開始！
先生がエッグを隠している間、みんなワクワクドキドキ👀💓

“I found it! It was under the table!” (見つけた！！机の下にあった！)

ゲットしたエッグの中身はなんと、、、、、うさぎのおもちゃが✨
大事に大事にかばんにしまい
“I will open the bag in the car!” (車で袋開けるね！)

今日、昨日の思い出のjournal(日記)を書きました！
” I love finding eggs.
I love story.
I love game.
I got carrot.”

実はKindy 2でjournalを書くのは初めてでしたが、みんな自分の言いたことをしっかりと文章に書き出すことができました⭐️

Kindy 2が終わるまで残り2週間、
できることがぐっと増えてKindy 3になる準備万端だね♪

Hello everyone!

We can’t believe we are already at the end of the year! We thought this would be a great time to look at the memories we made throughout the year.

<April> 

In April we were just getting used to IKA and being in class. Saying goodbye to mommy was really hard!

It was hard to focus on teachers when everything around us was so new. 

We felt more comfortable in class when we were playing with our new friends.  We loved playing with musical instruments. 

“Shake, shake.”

<May>

By the time we got to May, we were getting better at sitting for lesson. We didn’t use the gestures but it was so interesting.

Learning all day was a lot of work! We definitely needed to take a power nap.

<June>

The month of June was so exciting! We got to go on the first Small Kids field trip ever. Learning about all the flowers was so much fun.

We were so cute that even the animals had to stop and say hi. 

“Sheep!”

We also got to make our daddies their very own ties for Father’s Day. Learning how to use the sponges was fun.

<July>

It was so hot outside in July that we decided to stay in and have a movie afternoon. We got to watch Frozen and Mickey Mouse Club House. 

We also starting staying for long class in July, which means we got to eat our lunch in class! We got used to it pretty fast.

By the time we got to August we were experts at using our gestures for lesson!

“N, n, night.”

We really loved to listen to Laken’s story time before our mommies came to get us.

<September>

Finally, for September we made our grandparents a craft to show them how much we love them!

“I love you!”

We got so good at playing with our friends and learning how to share the toys. 

Laken and Mika are so proud of all your progress Small Kids! We hope you had as much fun throughout April – September as we did. 

こんにちは、English Time(アフタークラス)です！

今回は2月のfun week（お楽しみ会）の様子をご紹介します⭐︎

まずは工作から！

今回みんなで作ったのは色々な職業の人になれるhead band（ヘッドバンド）♪

2種類ある絵柄の中から好きな方を選びます！

“Which one do you want?”（どっちがいい？）

“I want this one!”（こっちがいい！）

絵柄を選んだら色塗りをしていきます⭐︎

みんなとーってもカラフルに色を塗っていました(^^)

色が塗れたらscissors（はさみ）を使って4つのピースに分けていきます！

1年を通してはさみもたくさん使ってきました！はさみを使う姿はとても真剣⭐︎

最後はglue（のり）を使って、みんなが色塗りをした職業の帽子を貼っていきます♪

オリジナルのヘッドバンドができました(^^)

これで色々な職業になれるね⭐︎

みんな嬉しくてポーズを決めてくれたりしましたよ♡

また、クラフトを使ってHeads Upというゲームも行いました(^^)

ジェスチャーゲームのようなもので、今回は1人が前に立ち、その人が何の職業の帽子をつけているのかをみんなで当てました⭐︎

みんなでホースを使って水をかけるジェスチャーをしています(^^)

“Am I a firefighter?”（消防士かな？）

“Yes!!”（そうだよ！！）

そして毎月行う海外のゲームをする時間！

今月はみんなの大好きなSimon Saysを行いました♪

このゲームでは、指示役のSimon（サイモンさん）が“Simon says…”と言ったら、そのあとに続く命令通りに動かなければいけません！

“Simon says, be a lion!”（ライオンになって！）

“Graaaar!!”（ガオー！！）

“Simon says, be Pinocchio!”（ピノキオになって！)

今回のお楽しみ会もとても盛り上がりました(^^)⭐︎

今年度のfun weekも残り1回！最後は何をするのかな？お楽しみに♪

こんにちは、Kindy 1（年少クラス）です♪

今日は、1年間毎朝欠かさず取り組んできたmorning routine（朝の会）の成長した姿をお届けしたいと思います(^^)

朝の挨拶で、Kara先生に“How are you？”と聞かれると、“I’m excited because I am weather leader today!”とワクワクした様子で教えてくれます！

みんなリーダーのお仕事が上手になり、4月の頃よりもとってもスムーズに行えるようになっています！

“How is the weather today, everyone!”（今日はどんな天気かな？）

“I think it’s windy because the tree is moving!”（風が強い！木が動いているのが見えるから！）

と理由も一緒に言えるようにもなってきたね！

数字の練習では、ヘルプなしで100まで数えることが出来ます！

初めの頃は少し慣れるまで時間が掛かったけど、みんなが見やすいようにフラッシュカードを自分でめくれるようになっています。

カレンダーや順番を表す時に使うOrdinal Number（序数）もお手のもの！

st,nd, rd, thなどよく見ながらきちんと発音ができるようになっています。

時々間違えてしまうこともありますが、すかさずお友達が直してくれます！

“Always try your best! It’s ok to make a mistake!”（いつも全力で！間違えても大丈夫だよ！）

Kindy 1のクラスルールをみんなで言い合っています！

Show and Tell（海外のスクールでは定番のお気に入りの物を紹介する時間）も盛り上がっています！

前は、“I like it because it’s cute.”や“It’s cool!”だけだったのが、最近ではレベルアップをして“It’s a princess book!”などとものの説明が詳しくできるようになっています。

また、文章中の“a” が正しく使えるようになってきています。

“Do you have any questions？”（なにか質問ある人ー？）

“I do!!”（はーい！！） 

紹介する側だけでなく、質問する側のレベルも上がっていますよ！

What…（Whatのカードを手に取って、、、）

“What’s your favorite animal?”(好きな動物は何ですか？）

“How did you get it?”(どうやってもらったの？）

という過去形を使った質問には、きちんと過去形で返すことが出来るようになってきています。

“I got it from my mommy!”（ママからもらったよ！）

最後は、CST（会話の練習）！

この日は、“When is your birthday?”(お誕生日はいつ？）の復習をしました。

“My birthday is （month) (date)!”（私の誕生日は、~月~日です！）

数字の練習で覚えたOrdinal Numberを使いながら上手に答えられるようになっています。

こんなにできるようになって先生たちは誇らしいです！

毎朝続けて頑張ってきた成果だよね！！

Hello Kindy 3!

The time is near, graduation is getting close and we are getting prepared for moving on to elementary school. We have been thinking a lot about the jobs we want in the future and have been painting pictures to represent them.

The pictures took some time to draw and we all used our imagination to think about what we would look like in each job. Painting is much harder than coloring with pencils so it took a ton of focus.

We each have our own style for drawing and made some unique pictures. It’s really cool to see what everyone wants through their art. Painting is so much fun even though we all get a little messy. At least it washes off easily.

We are taking our time and trying to make the pictures look as nice as possible. Everyone is very kind about sharing the paint brushes and carful to not mix the paints for others.

The paintings are all turning out wonderful and we can’t wait to show them off to you. We know you are going to love it!

こんにちは、Preschoolです！3月になり、気持ちのよい小春日和が増えてきましたね！今回はアイルランドを主とした欧米文化のSt. Patrick’s Day (聖パトリックの祝日)にちなんだ制作をした様子をお届けします！

St. Patrick’s Dayとは、3月17日に行われるキリスト教カトリックの祭礼日の一つで、テーマカラーのみどりを身につけたり、みどりの食べものをたべたりする行事です☆　その期間には街中がみどりでいっぱいになるそうですよ！

そこで私たちは、St. Patrick’s Dayのモチーフとされるshamrock (クローバー)を制作しました！

先生がみられないビーズを持っていて興味津々！イスの上にしゃがんでよーく見ようとしている子もいました！Can you see? (見えるかな？)

“What colors does Toni have?” ( Toniが持っている色は何色かな？)

“It’s light green and dark green!!!” (きみどりと、みどり！！！)

クローバーの画用紙をセットしたティッシュ箱に絵の具がついたビーズを入れ、横に転がすように振りました。

“Shake side to side! Shake back and forth!” (横にコロコロ振るんだよ〜！)

上下に振ることには慣れているみんなでも、横に振るうごきは新鮮だったね！

助けがいる子は、“Help, please!!!” (先生いっしょにやって〜！) と言い、先生といっしょに取り組みました👍

“It’s fun, Nanami!!” (これ楽しいよ〜！)

ころころとビーズが転がり、クローバーの画用紙に少しずつ色がついていく様子を不思議ように見て喜んでいました♡

そして違う日には、クローバーの背面に自分の名前のイニシャルを、マーカーを使ってなぞりました！！

点線をきれいになぞることをしっかり意識してゆーくり！！とーーっても真剣でした✨

たくさんの子がぐるぐると描き続けることなく、描き終わったらマーカーを止め、先生に“Finish!!” (おわったよ！)とマーカーを渡してくれました☆

また、今週のstory time (読み聞かせのじかん)では、St. Patrick’s Dayについての絵本を読みました！新しい先生のHannah先生はイギリス出身なので、St. Patrick’s Day本場のアクセントでも読みました！みんなにとってはじめてのアクセントだったかな？

クローバーの花言葉は「幸運」。４枚の葉にはそれぞれ「愛・健康・幸運・富」という意味があります。Preschoolのみんなにそんな願いを込めて…♡

Hello, everyone! I hope you’re having a great start to your week! It’s already Tuesday which means it’s time for another awesome Kindy 2 blog! This week will be about math!

Math in general can be a daunting topic, but if done right it can be super fun. The first step is to keep it simple. So first we did a bit of addition review with some visual aids.

Addition was taught earlier in the year and Kindy 2 quickly showed that they hadn’t forgotten a thing!

Since the review went so smoothly, it was then time to move on to the next part o the lesson: subtraction. Just like addition, subtraction can be deceptively hard without any visual aids.

As a result, it was very important to teach everyone that we have a visual aid no matter where we are or where we go. We can use our fingers!

With a bit more practice using our fingers to add and subtract, it was time to move on to the whiteboard.

This was a good chance for many students to showcase their confidence!

Unsurprisingly, Kindy 2 was able to get the answers without much issue.

However, practice makes perfect! So even though everyone did a great job, it was important to keep practicing just to make extra sure.

By the end of the day, everyone had a chance to try a math problem.

It was very refreshing to see everyone so excited to give subtraction a try!

There were a few hiccups here and there, but with just a bit of guidance everyone was able to understand the general concept of how subtraction works.

To finish off the lesson, we felt it was a good idea to show everyone that it’s totally ok to write little marks to help yourself out! In this case, we showed everyone how to make little circles and then subtract the necessary amount. Visual aids always make things easier, so we should use them whenever we can! Keep up the good work, Kindy 2!

こんにちは、Small Kids（1歳児クラス）です！

今回は、今月の工作を用いて行ったアクティビティをの様子をご紹介します(^^)♪

まずは工作の様子から！
“Can you rip the red origami?”（赤い折り紙を細かく破れるかな〜？）
“I did it!”（できたよ！）

できたらglue（スティックのり）を使って紙コップに折り紙を貼っていこう！

最後は黒いシール使ってseed（種）を貼ろうね！
“It’s a strawberry!”（いちごだ！）

みんなが作っていたのはいちごのカップでした！

そんなカップを使って行ったのはstrawberry picking（いちご狩り）♡
“Can you pick one red strawberry and one pink strawberry?”（赤とピンクのいちごを1つずつ取れるかな？）

みんな興味深々です♪

みんな上手にカップに1つずついちごを入れていきます(^^)

みんないつもと違うアクティビティにワクワクした様子で参加していました⭐︎

“Yay, I did it!”（やった、できた！）

“Please don’t actually eat it, ok?”（本当に食べちゃだめだよ？）

みんな嬉しそうにお家に持って帰りました♡

みんなで一緒にいちご狩りができてとっても楽しかったね(^^)♡

Good job, Small Kids!!

みなさんこんにちは！先週末は、毎月恒例のおたんじょうび会が開かれました‪♪さっそく、今年度ラストの主役2人の様子をのぞいてみましょう‪‪☺︎‬

まずはKindy 2(年中クラス)をちらり…。

みんなでバースデーソングを歌ってました！Happy birthday to you ♪

“What cake do you want?” (どんなケーキがほしい？)

“I want a chocolate princess cake!” (チョコレート味のプリンセスケーキがいいな♪)

“What present do you want?” (どんなプレゼントがほしい？)

“I want a princess drink bottle!” (プリンセスの水筒がほしい！)

“You already have one! lol” (もうあるじゃん！笑)

主役はどうやらプリンセスが大好きみたい♡

バースデーゲームは、みんな大好きドッジボール！2チームに分かれて、よーい…スタート！

白熱したゲームが繰り広げられました‪☆Go! Go! Everyone!!

ボールの投げ方もよけ方も、はじめたてのときより上手になったよね‪☺︎‬みんなの成長が感じられて、うれしかったよ♡

お次はKindy 3(年長クラス)。

“What cake did you eat?” (どんなケーキを食べたの？)

“I ate Minecraft cake!” (マインクラフトのケーキを食べたよ！)

“Who came to your birthday party?” (おたんじょうび会には誰が参加したの？)

“My mom, dad, and sister.” (ママとパパとおねえちゃんが参加したよ！)

“Where did you have your birthday party?” (どこでおたんじょうび会をしたの？)

“At home.” (おうちでしたよ‪☺︎‬)

色んな角度からの質問ができてたね♪

ゲームタイムは、こちらもドッジボール！ですが、ちょっと変わったルールが…

なんと、チーム戦じゃなく個人戦！しかも、ボールを持ったらその場から動けません。

アウトになったみんなは、内野のみんなをたくさん応援‪☆

“Get Will!!”(Will先生を狙って！！)

とのリクエストも笑 その理由は…

自分にボールを当てた人がアウトになったら、復帰できるルールだから！いけー！みんなー！！こちらも、とっても盛りあがったね‪♪

あらためて、3月生まれのみんな、おたんじょうびおめでとう！みんなの新しい1年も、笑顔でいっぱいでありますように…‪☆

Hello from the Kindy 1 class!

Last Friday was “Pajama Day” at IKA. This meant that we got to wear our pajamas to school and do all sorts of fun activities. We couldn’t wait to see what was in store!

We started the day with morning routine. We knew that if we worked hard and tried our best we could have fun for the rest of the day.

Everyone did great during morning routine!

After morning routine, we got to go upstairs for mixed playtime with Kindy 2 and Kindy 3.

There was a big parachute to play with! We had so much fun lifting it high above our heads and then crawling under it. It felt like being in a cave.

After we played with the parachute, we got to play in the big forts that Kindy 2 and 3 made inside their classrooms!

It was so neat to see how a few tables, chairs and mats could turn into super cool forts that you could crawl through and play in!

It was so fun crawling through the tunnels!

“Go, go, go!”

We loved getting to play with the other Kindy students. Everyone played so nicely together.

“Nice sharing, everyone!”

We also had fun playing with each other!

“Say cheese!”

After mixed playtime we had lunch. It was so fun getting to do our daily activities in our pajamas!

Kara reminds us every day to “always try your best,” and that means trying our best during lunch time too! We have been trying hard to eat quietly, face forward, clean up after ourselves and to try and take a bite of everything on our plates. It’s good to remember to eat a balanced diet and to try new foods!

We’ve been doing a great job of “trying our best” during lunch time!

After lunch, we got to watch a movie! Kara and Momoko had us vote on what movie we wanted to watch and “The Little Mermaid” got the most votes!

We had a great time watching the movie! Of course, we all had to get up and dance when “Under the Sea” started to play!

After the movie we gathered together for a group photo in our pjs!

“Everyone smile!”

Kindy 1, you’ve been working so hard this year and we hope you had lots of fun during Pajama Day! Let’s continue to try our best and finish the year strong. Great job!

こんにちは、Kindy 3(年長クラス)です！

明日、3月3日(金)はひな祭りですね。今回はひな祭りに向けてのクラフト制作の様子をお届けします♪

先月のValentine’s Day(バレンタインデー)では切ったり破ったりする作業が多かったKindy 3。今回は折り紙をたくさん折る制作に挑戦です！

ひな祭りということで、和柄の折り紙を使って制作を行いました。

いつもと違う折り紙にどことなく嬉しそうな子供たち。それぞれ好きな色や柄を選びます！

まずはおひなさまとおだいりさまの着物から折っていきます。

「紙ひこうきの折り方と途中まで一緒だね！」

着物の折り方は他の物と比べてシンプルで、一度教えると子どもたちはすぐに覚えて、自分だけで作る事ができていて、びっくりしました！

さすがKindy 3!

着物が完成したら次は少し難しいぼんぼりを作っていきます。

使う折り紙は普通の折り紙より小さいサイズ。みんなできるかな〜？？

「ここはひっくり返すんだよ！」

「こうやっておると簡単だよ！」

最初は少し苦戦していましたが、お友達と教え合い、助け合いながらみんな作ることが出来ました♪

折り紙が全て完成したら、おひなさまとおだいりさまの顔を書きます。

一人一人違う表情のおひなさまとおだいりさま。優しそうなお顔だったり、楽しそうに笑っていたり。

中にはピンクや緑の髪のおひなさまとおだいりさまもいました♪

みんな思い思いに顔を描く手を動かしていきます。

今回の制作ではおうぎやしゃく、かんむりなどの小さな部品も使います。のりを使って細かい部品を器用にくっつけていく子どもたち。

全ての部品を貼り付けるとおひなさまとおだいりさまの出来上がり。

自分だけのおひなさまとおだいりさまができると、お人形遊びを始める子どもたちも！

今回の制作では難しい作業が多くありましたが、みんな上手に作る事ができました！

 Hello everyone! Preschool Class here!

Last Friday was our first ever Pajama Day! We were all so excited to see everyone’s cool and cute and cozy pajamas! Toni told us we were only going to do flashcards and then playtime all day, but we all wanted a game! us her toys and went over the rules of Pajama Day.

“Preschool, are we going to chew on our toys or blankets?”

“No! Yucky!”

“Really?” Toni pretended to chew on her own blanket. Uh oh!

“No thank you, Toni!”

Toni and Nanami had a few different games and activities planned for us.

“Good night, Preschool!” 

We played with our parachute for so long! 

“Preschool, can you get your toy? It’s time to watch a movie!”

“Toni, I want blanket please.”

“Nanami, my pillow!”

If we didn’t have something soft, Toni and Nanami offered some extra toys of their own. We loved hugging our toys and blankets as we watched The Little Mermaid.

“Preschool, are you sleepy yet?” 

“No!!!” 

Toni should know better by now! We were too excited to even pretend to sleep as we played together after lunch!

After such a fun time last week, this week we tried to settle into a more focused type of activity for quiet time. Toni let us practice scissors again.

“Preschool, remember to keep your daddy finger pointing up as you cut.”

“Like this, right?”

“I did it!”

Did you see our names on the back of the shapes we took home?

“It’s so colorful, right?”

“Wow, Preschool. Everyone’s hearts are so colorful!”

“Here you are, Toni!” We know how to hand our scissors over safely.

We love shapes, and we were trying so hard to use our scissors nicely. We all had so many different shapes we wanted to cut out today, but Toni surprised us with these new lines! Some of us only needed a little help holding the paper or fixing our grip. 

Good job, Preschool! Toni and Nanami are so proud of you! Let’s keep having fun and doing our best!
