We thought now was a great season for planting and learning how things grow! We’re growing lettuce as our first experience with the garden.

For this, we listened closely to Nina as she told us what to do.

Firstly, we each dug a big scoop of soil and sprinkled it lightly into the pots! We were careful not to get any dirt on our clothes!

When our soil was deep enough, we used our fingers to dig a small hole and gently sprinkled in the seeds! They were so small!

After filling in the holes, we watched it being watered and we said the magical words to make our lettuce grow nice and big, “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo! Grow, grow, grow!”

We can’t wait for you to see our lettuce grow big enough to eat!
