Hello every one, Kindy 1 here! This week in Kindy 1 we practiced different types of safety. To warm up we learnt about different types of natural disasters.

Some were a little scary but we also know that most don’t happen very often. However one that does happen Often is an earthquake, so we practiced our earthquake drill. ACORNS!!

We made went down the starts quickly and quietly! At the bottom of the stairs we made a line near the door so we can be counted to make sure everyone is safe. If it was a real earthquake we would head outside.

After practicing our earthquake drill we also talked about other types of safety, like stranger danger. Sarah dressed up as a stranger so we could practice using our biggest voices to call for help.

We all did so well and know exactly who the safest people are: Mummy, Daddy, our teachers and the police! It is great to practice but we all hope we don’t have to use these skills in the future. Stay safe everyone!
