Hello! Kindy 1 here and we are going go through our memories for the second half of the year.

October

Our month began, still in the heat of Summer, and we all went sweet potato picking. It was so hot out but very fun to take home our share! We also prepared for Halloween at the end of the month and carved out pumpkins to celebrate.

November

November was the start of one of our busiest times of year. We began to practice for our upcoming Christmas concert! We also took some time to make special Thanksgiving Day cards for people we are thankful for. But don’t worry, we got to have lots of fun with feet painting too! 

December

Christmas had arrived and we really started to work hard on our Christmas concert. At times it was hard to remember our lines, or our dance moves but we made the most of it and had a great performance.

January

January we did our best to get back into the swing of things. It was a little hard at first but we did it (even when we added an extra question to show and tell!) We also learnt a little about how to blend colours and water with our fingers to create watercolours.

February

February was a fun month! We started off with lots of competitions on our sports day. Instead of having a Valentine’s Day we had a ValenSLIMES Day! One of our favourite activities this month was making our own aliens and their home planets.

March

Our last month in Kindy 1! We are all so excited to make the transition to Kindy 2, but we still have a few things to do. We reviewed all of our vocabulary from the last year including Nationalities. We also made special volcanoes which we will erupt on our last day of Kindy 1.

What an amazing year it has been! Everyone has worked so hard and shown how ready they are for Kindy 2. The Kindy 1 teachers are so proud of everyone and cannot wait to see what they achieve next year. Good luck everyone!!
