Hello everyone, Small Kids Class here!
Do you remember when we tried gardening at the beginning of summer? Everyone worked together to get our pot ready. We all put one scoop of soil into our pot.
“Did you get some?”
“Wow, that’s so much!”
We planted basil. The seeds were so small, we didn’t know what we had until it was our turn.
“Can you open your hand for me?”
“Did you miss the hole? I think you got it.”
We really enjoyed watering our seedlings.
Now our basil is flowering. In the hot summer weather, it’s nice to do something with water. The watering cans we made for our July craft are perfect to use.
Our basil is very tall now. We like to smell the leaves and pick the flowers while watering them together.
“Hold your watering bottle above the flowers, okay?”
Good job, Small Kids! We’ll try to go out when it’s not as hot so you can keep playing with water this summer.
