Hello Kindy 3!

The new year has been fun so far and we want to keep it that way. We have been learning about ancient Egypt in our science lessons for this month.

In ancient Egypt they didn’t have writing as we know today, they used hieroglyphs. They are small pictures used to represent different actions or ideas.

We used a simple map to convert them into some letters that we all recognize and find the hidden message.

It can be quite difficult since they used the same picture for multiple of our letters today. We had to use our English knowledge as well to figure out the correct letters that would make complete words.

We had a lot of fun trying to solve the puzzle written by the Egyptians even though it was a little difficult.

What’s that, Mai likes bread? How did they know it so long ago? Well anyways, great work Kindy 3. Let’s keep at it as we are getting ever closer to graduation!
